Food4Thought Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 (edited) Hello to all of you who are grieving from a painful seperation, break-up, or divorce from someone you loved very deeply. I must confess that this is a first for me as far as subscribing to any type forum, especially one to which you pour your heart out. But, like you, I'm am experiencing a painful break-up.....and it's only the beginning for me. As odd as it sounds, it is comforting to know that there are other people out there who are all sharing similar emotions of grief (anger, despair, fear, guilt, etc); yet, we all have the good fortune to come together and learn from each other's testimonies, as well as teach from our experiences. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, for I will likely be on and off this site for a time to offer counsel, ask questions, throw out ideas, and possibly rant (when the coping gets tough). Prosecco Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Hey This place is great - as focusing on other people's issues reminds you you aren't alone... and gives yourself a chance to listen to the advice you offer others, and apply it to yourself... I also think this place is doubly vital for me - I'm NOT an emotional person, and friends who have seen me cry as a result of this breakup have... almost freaked out with worry. Venting here... gives me a chance to vent, to hear friendly 'voices'... without constantly draining my friends. They're there for... when they need to be - but they need to have time that isn't all picking me up. So - here we pick each other up.
