Finally a quick new Paternity test is on the market to determine whether or not a child is related to both parents! This would crack down on a lot of the lies that have gone on for years! But, how many problems will it raise?! Here's the like to the story!

Anyone can leave input, comments, whatever!

Too bad stuff like that usually doesn't hold up in court. If he's raised the child as his own, there's a good chance he'll still get dinged for child support.

Depends on the state though, he may be able to sue for paternity fraud!

I can just see the practical jokes being pulled from one sibling on another...

That part would be bad! But, it may make people think twice about doing things that can lead to a situation like this, if not, then it'll be found out sooner rather than later.

It also will have those who have cheated already and have had OM's baby on edge, because they will know that hubby may get the bright idea and check for himself, like she could ever stop him now! It could be done so fast and secretive that by the time she knew what hit her she'd be slapped with a paternity lawsuit, depending upon the state. But how long do you think it would take men to demand the laws to be changed to include their states?

The days of men being hopelessly duped into raising some other mans baby are numbered!

By the way, I've heard that one state is proposing a mandate that ALL newborns undergo a paternity test before a birth certificate is made out, and you know several women protested the idea, even how insulting it would be, it makes me wonder, what do they have to hide?

The Jerry Springer show already had this ability..finally someone picked up on it!

Of course there are rotten apples. But you have those in practically everywhere.

Would you be okay, if say 3 federal agents came into your property, to check whether or not you fill out your tax returns by the book (not as part of a fraud investigation, but before you even send in tax forms) - including checking all the slips, the appliances, insurance papers, etc.? Assuming you are a law-abiding citizen, what do you have to hide?

The whole measure simply smacks of distrust. If a government has that much distrust of its citizens, on what basis should the citizens trust in their government?

Wow... it's getting easier and easier isn't it?

Like a things I guess it will have it's positive stories and it's negatives. I think the upside is that it makes it easier for those that really need to know and probably didn't have the means to before.

I can see a lot of families break apart because of it though.

Well I have a friend who raised a daughter for 4 years thinking she was his. He didn't live with the mother, but paid support and did weekly visitation and everything else. Then they finally did a paternity test and she wasn't his daughter, and the court discontinued his child support and went after the bio father. But he's not getting any of the $$ he gave to the mother back, though.

Edit - and this is in an extremely backward county as far as law enforcement goes. Very Southern and "good ol' boy".

Wohoo, this is a nice step towards men's rights. If a girl ever says that a kid is mine and there is any doubt I will get that paternity test.

I'm still waiting for the male "pill."

You're right about the bad apples. They're out there alright.

People don't trust the government, however, people also know you dont screw with the IRS! You had better have those slips of paper!

Seems unfair but at the very least he should also have a claim against the real Dad, and the woman probably knew all along.

I'm sure that that poor man's just glad to be off the hook, but the county may figure to get all the back child support that the reall owes, and pay back the first guy with some of it.

Yes, this will cause a whole lot more people to be held accountable for their actions! And I agree with someone else, it is a step in the right direction for Men's rights!

Agreed on both counts! That's why this would kill alot of guessing games, even if it wasn't 100% accurate like the more expensive versions, it would cast enough doubt about who the father is, and in many cases, that's enough! Then the more expensive test could be conducted, perhaps to finalize it! Can you tell, I loving this!?:p:love:
