Nevermind Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 "Behold! For the woman is an evil creature, a leecherous, treacherous being. Fueled by greed, driven by sinister motives! Do not get trapped in the net of the seductress, for she will suck you dry and throw you out!" This is what has been posted on loveshack lately. Women never love, apparrently. We are just in it for the money or for being treated like biatches. Because this is what we truly want. Deep down, we all want to be treated badly. Seriously! I know there are bad women, just as much as there are bad men. People we do not agree with, people with different attitudes. And we all generalize a little. But lately, this has gone too far. So maybe, hopefully, the women of loveshack could just say what they want in a relationship to show how wrong many of the latest statements have been. Me, I like to take care of somebody and to be close to someone I can trust and who trusts me. I do not need anybody to take care of me, and I am not dependent on any man. But it sure is nice to know that there is someone who cares about me and who wants me to be happy and is willing to assist me in finding happiness. Just as much as I am willing to help him. There is nothing about money, or power struggle about it. If you never experience something like this...you're losing out.
MoonlightLover Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Agreed. But i do not feel the need to defend myself or my sex. We're not that easily ruffled by a wee toss*r. Aye he'll find his wee peck*r in a blender no doubt if he treats women the way he speaks about them. Thing is though, most men who speak of women in that manner are actually intravert and intimidated by women...chances are he's a big man when he gets behind his computer. Quite sad really don't you think?
The Collector Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I think your misrepresenting the arguments somewhat. You women, you can dish it out, but you can't take it. Try being a man and being told by society and the media that you are essentially a potential rapist/wife-beater whose penis has caused all the trouble in the world. See, I can totally see things from the point of view of a woman, as oppressed and being treated unfairly and held back by the selfish and unseeing Men. A generation of men have been brought up to see themselves this way, unless they have remarkable self-esteem. Meanwhile (many) women hang on to an out-dated sense of victimhood which allows them to never see it from the other side. For example this thread, which is just 'Oh us poor women are being attacked by the nasty men! But really we are not that bad! There, I feel better now.' Your going to get women saying they want a decent man and they value honest communication, blah blah blah, big surprise. Like they would say 'actually they have a point, I am an evil gold-digger who likes doing the pool boy behind my stupid husbands back.' And I don't think all women are like that.
Taramere Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I like men who like me. That makes me happy. None of this hostile "negging" crap - unless it's genuinely funny as opposed to some dreary old chestnut of an insult. A man who inspires me and is inspired by me. Someone I can chat with for hours and be in my own little world with where none of the tedious, recycled "men are bleugh....women are blah" opinions you referered to have any relevance except insofar as we laugh at the people who have them. A man who will play tennis with me, and go cycling with me. Who likes cooking. Who eats my cooking and pretends to enjoy it. Who finds quirky little things about me that I wasn't aware of but that he finds adorable. A man with an eight inch dong. Should I post this on Craigslist or something?

Now how do you compare his attitude to women with the message in your signature? Completely different, right?
carhill Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Some of the men here are reading on with interest note to self: remove blender from kitchen
Author Nevermind Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 See, I can totally see things from the point of view of a woman, as oppressed and being treated unfairly and held back by the selfish and unseeing Men. Look. This might be new to you, but many women do not see themselves as victims. They see themselves as human beings who should be respected and valued as individuals. Just as much as men should be respected and valued individually.
MoonlightLover Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Yeah, he must be a small-cocked shy-guy in real life. That's a comforting idea isn't it? Now how do you compare his attitude to women with the message in your signature? Completely different, right? That's just my humour dear, i found it fitting in a comical way...especially with the topics flying round on this forum recently. No need to worry about me, im neutral. We're all b*stards in my eyes.
