Why is part of you scared he won't come back? This is, IMO, a good thing to work on. Our psychologist called it and the associated decision to continue on "backing away from the brink". Clarifying the fear is now part of my work.

I think it's imperative to protect (perhaps too strong a word) your interests and children, but be careful about issues of power and its centrality. It can backfire. One day at a time
