Classy Lady Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 "Secret Lovers" by Atlantic Starr You cant get any more descriptive than this. Old song, but always new for someone out there.
DrIndigo Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Aside from the overly dramatic MTV video that was produced to accompany it, you have to love Down Low by r.kelly. After, of course, setting aside his affinity for underage girls.
redplanet Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I mentioned some songs that are meaningful to me on another thread but perhaps they're more appropriate on this one. Bird York's 'Wicked Little High' and 'The Deep'. I spent Easter at the East Coast Blues Festival in Australia. The lineup was awesome and is not only Blues genre anymore. Sugarland and George Duke and Stanley Clarke, were amongst the artists and some of the others included Maceo Parker (funkiest funk I've ever heard - used to play with James Brown), Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Keith Urban, John Butler, The Black Crowes, Ray Davies, Sinead O'Connor, Lee Ritenour, Ruthie Foster, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Cat Empire................the list is extensive. Lots and lots of fun. (hope I'm not thread jacking, but when I saw Sugarland and George Duke mentioned on this thread, I couldn't resist sharing my Easter experience with you) it was a good distraction from, well you know......

DrIndigo Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 For the arrogant, there's "You're My Little Secret" by Xscape
Findingme Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I recently went to a Garth Brooks concert and was so surprised at how much I liked country music. During the concert, Garth began to sing In Another's Eyes and soon after his wife Trish Yearwood joined him in this beautiful song about the OM/OW. I can't help but think about my MM and me when I hear this song. What songs remind you of your OM/OW or MM/MW? Hinder : Lips of An Angel Tom Petty: No Second Thoughts
Author White Flower Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 2 Live Crew. Thanks, Unders, I'll have to youtube it.

She must have convinced you that she loves you more for you two to still be together? My hat's off to you.
Author White Flower Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Whenever I hear Memories by Barbara Striesand and happen to feel it might end soon (because honestly we just can't predict a D-day) it kills me.
Owl Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Owl, You know SO much about your W's A. How in the h*** do you get over all those details? She must have convinced you that she loves you more for you two to still be together? My hat's off to you. Believe it or not...I personally needed to know all the details in order to forgive her. I needed to know the full scope of what I was forgiving. And...she HAS convinced me that she loves me more than she's ever loved anyone else...to include OM. As far as the details...I'm exactly the kind of BS that most of the OM/OW here would HATE to have had to deal with. I'm ex-military, with a background of doing a lot of "interesting" work. In the beginning, all I had to go off of as far as knowledge of OM was his first and last name, an email address, and the phone number the two of them used to communicate. I also knew that he often stayed at work late into the evening, and that he lived very close to where he worked. The day after "d-day", I decided to learn all I could about him. In less than two hours, I had pretty much everything anyone could have wanted to know. His home address, work address, direct work phone, home phone... I knew what kind of vehicle he drove, where he kept it parked, and his tag #. I knew that he walked to work, his hours that he normally arrived and left, and who his boss was at the time. Then I decided to learn as much as I could about what had gone on between them. So I got complete chat records from the two of them for the previous two months. I also saw every email exchanged, as well as all the little "e-cards" that they'd sent. The only thing I obviously couldn't have gotten was their phone conversations...but I knew the exact time/duration/who called who for those. As far as knowing their "song"...that was just plain simple logic. She heard that song on one of MY CD's...it wasn't her normal genre of music. I thought about it (after the affair), and realized when she was singing it and why. Look at the lyrics to the song, and it becomes obvious. She was SHOCKED that I'd put that together...which I found kind of funny at the time. LOL...the moral of the story here for the OW/OM? Make sure you pick a MM/MW who's spouse DIDN'T lead an "interesting life" at one time! :D
Lookingforward Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Summer Love, by The Corrs. Was that Summer Wine or Summer Sunshine ? Don't know Summer Love by The Corrs
Mrmojorisin Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 For my wife when she began her affair, she started listening to "Half your age" by Kid Rock. The DOG she was sleeping with was 12 years younger than I. She tried to lie to me and tell me that the song was originally by a country group and she listened to it after her divorce from her first husband...That was bull****. Kid Rock wrote that song and recorded it only last year..
