Hey all,

When my ex broke up with me, he was adamant about never wanting to hear from me again. So I never tried or wanted to. I sent a letter two weeks later getting my thoughts on the break up conversation and still never tried any other form of contact. I really thought he hated me. And the way he looks at me, I kinds think he does.

As most of you guys know, we have seen each other 3 times since and the last time, he was extremely hostile in a passive manner, until he yelled "bye" as I walked out the door (BTW, he followed me to the door not realizing I knew what he was doing).

I can't help but wonder which emotion is really driving him.

1. Ego

2. Anger, if so what the hell does he have to be angry with me about?

3. Guilt, over the fact that I didn't deserve the way he broke up with me? (It was a really nasty conversation.) But I go back and forth with that one because if it was guilt, why not just apologize?

4. Desire

Common sense would have to tell him if I ignored and told him to leave me alone the first time, he would not bother with ANY attention towards me.

Can someone take a guess at the four I mentioned? Or charm in with their own perspective.

Perhaps he is acting this way to make sure that you will not try to reconcile with him? I've acted like that a few times when I wanted to make sure that the breakup 'stuck'.

That's a good point. I never consider that. I figured since I never called, asked him to reconsider, and ignored him, he knew I didn't want to try again.

Its hard to tell really. Some people act that way in an overkill even when there is no real reason to.
