Keep going Bobby. Don't look back. You are doing just fine. You have come a long way and just reading your posts is really very encouraging.

It's been more than a year now since all this happened, and I am happy to say that I am doing very well. Yes, I do get reminded of the past a few times, but that doesn't really hurt. I believe the whole experience has made me stronger from within.

I say hold on to yourself during these tough times (break-up), and believe me, with time everything heals. I was a wreck a year back during this time (July 2008) but now (July 2009), I am completely fine, doing very good and very happy and satisfied with my life. I have never ever looked back since then.

So, I take it that both of you moved on. And you didn't get back to her at all?

personally, I don't think you should stop talking about her or writing about her at this point. This just happened. I think you should let yourself feel the pain. I don't think you should think about her 24/7 as I did with my ex, but I don't think you should try to stunt much of your thoughts and emotions for now. I do think you should find a fun hobbie, watch a LOT of three stooges and other comedy videos/DVDs. This stuff is so fresh, just get your emotions out. Mourn, grieve, get it out. Seek therapy...many colleges offer therapy to non-students and students for free.

His break up was a over a year ago and he has moved on.. Good for you Bobby! Just out of curiosity though, are your"friend" and ex still together?
