Star Gazer Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Hello, how do you lose interest and/or attraction with your guy after a long term relationship? Waaaaayyy too vague of a question here, dude. We need more information about your relationship.
LuCidiTy Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 lots of reasons i suppose... 1. he cheats 2. he lets himself go 3. he doesn't speak 4. he doesn't show affection 5. he always puts you last 6. he lies 7. he breaks the law 8. he hits you 9. he's controlling 10. he can't control his temper 11. he calls you names 12. he's rude 13. he brings up all past arguments during any new one
Author Kman21 Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 alright lots of questions are on my mind, but the ultimate question is that how she lost her interest and/or attraction for me, this was my first serious relationship in high school. ( and yea i expect u guys to say it was high school, puppy love blah blah blah, but i hope to get a deeper explanation) we were together for 2 years. we never had BIG fights and got along great. there was nothing wrong with our relationship. now she is in her freshmen year of college, after a couple of months of college, she told me she lost all feelings for me and lost that "tingly" feeling, a month and several days later she told me it all came back, about 1.5 months later she told me that she lost feelings for me again, (pathetic right? i know) she told me that shes sees life differently now because she is in college and sees the feelings she had for me as a HS crush, but the thing is that she talked about getting married and stuff, anyways she told me that she lost attraction for me, im wondering if its because since shes more "mature" now, i mean the factors i am thinking of are that: 1) im 4 months younger than her 2) im in high school 3) maybe cuz shes slightly taller than me? i mean did she realizes these small stuff since she lifes differently now? I dont know i just wanted to point that out, any insight?
Arch Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 College turns allot of chicks into crazy sluts, they have no restrictions from their parents so they go wild, don't worry about it you will find another GF.
Rogue Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 It's the ladder principle. Women are always on the look out for the alpha male and when the opportunity arises they will step up. Guys do the same.
wonderinwhatsup Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Man I already told you that college ****ed with my girls head. A week before classes shes great, then she decides to rush a sorority and when I move back for class she's changed. Time will make it better man, go get drunk at some party and find another cute chick. I know its hard, but youll feel a lot better with a hangover and a crazy story than sitting at home missing the girl you love.
Nightwolf_58 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I had the exact same thing happen to me when I was in high school. We were together for 2 years, talked about marriage and all that good stuff, she goes off to college, and it all changed. Got back together the next summer, only to have it great for a while, but in reality her feelings just weren't there anymore. I've learned twice over that college changes people, not necessarily all for the bad, but people change, and feelings come and go. I'd start living my life and work on what you are going to do for your future and start on your own college plans and move ahead.
Author Kman21 Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 Well its too late now, shes with someone else, I am trying very hard to move on, I started NC already, sometimes it goes well but sometimes I feel like emailing (we both share an email address and use that to email each other, she still sign in to check anything i posted in the draft section) but I keep telling myself that it wont help at all. She wants to be friends, but I dont think I can handle that... so you guys got back together in the summer and then broke up again?
Phateless Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Well its too late now, shes with someone else, I am trying very hard to move on, I started NC already, sometimes it goes well but sometimes I feel like emailing (we both share an email address and use that to email each other, she still sign in to check anything i posted in the draft section) but I keep telling myself that it wont help at all. It happens sometimes... that's life... you just have to move on and forget about her. In time you'll find someone better.
Trialbyfire Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Well its too late now, shes with someone else This would have been my response to why she lost interest in you. She found someone else to give her those infatuation highs. In around three months or less time, when hormones come under control, she'll be crying into her beer, looking to come back. If you're smart, you will have moved on before she pulls this.
Author Kman21 Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 Yea that can be one possibility, I mean after all she is 18, I don't see why not. Infatuation can really trick people...
wvhenson Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Hey K..its John. Your so much like me. Dude, I need to send you something to read. It may help a lot. Email me mine is [email protected]
wonderinwhatsup Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 K I feel as though I may be a few steps ahead of you in all that you're experiencing. Ironically for me, the fact of her getting a new boyfriend has been great for my mental stress in one way. I don't feel that I have to do something to try and get her back. The ball is totally in her court. She'll remember how you treated her for the rest of her life (I'm assuming that you were her first love). Maybe a year or so down the line send her a message saying hey and maybe you will see if theres any chemistry left. Until then: 1. Move On 2. Find A New Chick: that'll drive her crazy when your ex sees yall and plus you may find out that the new girl treats you so much better than your ex ever did
Green Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 First off you approached this all wrong, you don't need to ask a bunch of girls on here why women lose interest to figure this one out. I'm a guy and when a friend of mine went to a different college he made an entire group of new friends and for the most part ignored me, so I can only image what it would have been like had it been a gf who I was trying to keep. Something like this can always happen when a girl moves away, and if she was your first gf then you probably would have broken up over some other silly thing eventualy... unless of course you had got married. First off, when I do NC I try to make it imposible to contact the person I'm doing NC with... so delete her number and delete that email you guys use to comunicate with eachother.... make it imposible for yourself to comunicate with her even if you do change your mind about this... next she is probably the only girl you ever did anything with, so you pretty much idolize her... well if prom hasnt happened I want you to know that if you ask out a hot girl in one of the lower grades who hasnt been asked to prom yet she will almost definetly say yes and if you pre party and after party with her at a minimum you will get alot of kissing and probably a new gf out of that. other then that I just sugest you go to parties be social, and go through the motions as if you werent depressed if you get a new relationship going you will have passed the test, because this is the first time you got dumped and your probably questioning ur ability to find a new girl
Star Gazer Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 She's in college, surrounded by new guys who are older and more experienced. Like Rogue said, she's looking to step up. She doesn't want to feel tied down to her past, particularly to high school. Unfortunately, that's the way it goes.
Arch Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I am going to lul if she gets gang banged at a party by a bunch of guys and contracts an STD.
Author Kman21 Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 dont talk about like that to her man
