Women are NOT the arbiters of what is acceptable male behavior - men are. Let woman design their own ethics. They have no entitlement to dictate to us what ours should be to suit them. There is a common trap that most of you guys have possibly fallen into and I want you all to think about this for the next ten minutes. My question is this," Have you unconsciously adopted a belief that you SHOULD act in a ways, that are not natural to you, to gain women's approval ?" Well boys, what is your answer?

Vain as in: Excessively proud of one's appearance or accomplishments. You sound vain to me. I could be wrong, but your avatar didn't help my impression. So there... you are not a jerk. You're vain.
Author WILLIS47 Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 I dont think taking pride in oneself means you are vain, I am not full of myself or spend hours in front of a mirror or talking myself up, I just stated that fact, I do take care of myself and do my best to be successful. Pride and vanity are 2 diferent things. Just out of curiosity, how does my avatar reflect being vain, I honeslty dont get that one, please elaborate.
carhill Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I take pride in keeping a clean and organized home; my wife says I'm a neat freak, predictively, as the trail of flotsam flows behind her. It's all about perspective I don't think your avatar looks anything but restful and introspective. The surface of us is genetics (mostly) combined with life choices. Nothing more or less. No vanity in showing it, IMO, and I'm not well known for my "looks"
