The breakup seems inevitable

My boyfriend and I had a large disagreement. He said that I don't hold many conversations with him and whenever I do, I sound uninterested. I told him that he needs to work on being more patient, affectionate, and supportive of me. I go to a stressful grad school so I don't have time to read into current issues, politics, movies, etc. I asked him if he was disappointed in me and he said that he wouldn't say that. I also asked him what he thought about our relationship and the only thing he said is that we come from different backgrounds (which we do). But that's all he said. I want to know if he wants to stay in this relationship or not. We live together so I figure if he dislikes it he'll move out soon enough.

I told him that I recognize that I have communication issues and that I'll work on it but he seemed to scoff it off.

I feel like the damage is permanent and that I'm anticipating the breakup. I love him so much and I want everything to work out okay but I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say to him because I feel like I said everything that I needed to last night. Besides, I don't want to reopen the wound by talking about it all over again. I want to return to normalcy.

I feel so horrible!!!

But I'm just worried that I'm slowly discovering the truth....I'm just not that interesting to him and I'm not the girlfriend that he wants. Obviously he wants someone who will talk more.

If you really love him and you want to be with HIM then you need to develop yourself into the person who meets his needs.

When a man says that a womans needs to talk more, it usually means that he feels taken for granted and unappreciated. THis is a BIG mistake ladies...because this is the precursor to him looking twice at that little blonde who beams at him at Starbucks..

Good men who are attractive will always have OPTIONs .
