Starla Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 i think some girls, and guys too, have formed the attitude where thye feel they have to get in first - they'll treat others badly BEFORE they get a chance to get walked over. it's more sad than anything...they must walk about always feeling the wold is out to get them. there is no excuse for rudeness....i work in a children's home, and some of our young people, although lovely kids, who have faced a lot of hardship, can adopt a really hard attitude as soon as they walk out the door, almost like putting on a coat of armour. they wear hoodie tops and tend to 'skulk', glowering at people, and i know if i saw them in the street and didn't know them how i do, i'd feel intimidated. there's nothing lovelier than a woman who is friendly, polite, respectful and kindhearted - she's attractive to men AND women. so i would agree with the OP!!!
a4a Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Perhaps men have not had their legs unwillingly humped enough to understand why unwanted advances are simply that - unwanted advances. *not stating that the men here are the ones that stick tongues in the ears of women they just met 30 seconds prior, or slap the waitress on the ass - but those men are out there and many women have been through that experience and do not wish to experience it again - thus the automatic = get the F outta of my face reaction. - I am betting that certain men here are leg humpers.
Citizen Erased Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 So I looked on my watch and half-jokingly said to them "Hope it wont take too long". The one looked at me and said very seriously: "Shut up and turn around". WHOA. It boggles the mind at how rude some people can be. I have a boyfriend, so have become quite good at fending off guys. There's no need to be such a bitch about it
Starla Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 i'm quite flattered when a guy hits on me that i find myself feeling grateful!!
Woggle Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I wasn't even trying to hit on the women that accused me. I just happened to glance at something else that was in her direction and she got an attitude. I must say that experiences like that are rare for me.

Citizen Erased Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 i'm quite flattered when a guy hits on me that i find myself feeling grateful!! Depending on the guy, it can be flattering. But even if I am in a horrible mood, I could never speak to another person like how these guys are saying. I guess my mother raised me better

Perhaps because we (H and I) may be engaged in conversations with other people around us, but some guys will take a introduction way beyond the acceptable norm. Then again I had a guy attempt to hump my leg at our reception as well. Perhaps I am just too attractive?
Starla Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Perhaps I am just too attractive?:laugh::laugh: that has to be it!! curses to your beauty!!!

But I would feel terrible if I actually did tell them to F-off like I sometimes want to I've been slapped/pinched on the behind, but no humping of the leg thankfully. Too attractive, or you had your reception at a biker bar

Too attractive, or you had your reception at a biker bar I cannot believe you don't feel the right to tell someone to F- off that physically "assaults" you? No Bar receptions - I don't hang out in such places...... though I do know a handful of very nice bikers- none of which are lude or rude enough to do such a thing to any person. Actually that leg humper was with his wife and 2 kids at the wedding and owns a marina.
a4a Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 :laugh::laugh: that has to be it!! curses to your beauty!!! Really - I am not ugly - I am built well...... and I always am the life of the party when out...... (more so with a few cocktails in me) So yes attractive fun people are hit on more often. Sorry but it's true. I am not signing up for any contests - but I am above average. I am sure the handful of people I have met here on LS would attest to that. And you do put up with more leg humpers if you are considered "attractive". More hits - more likely to get leg humped.
Woggle Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 You have the right to assult anybody that humps your leg but a woman getting an attitude with me when I wasn't even looking at her was uncalled for. You are a describing an entirely different situation from what I am thinking of. I would never violate a woman like that.

I would never violate a woman like that. i think it's what i mentioned earlier...people adopt a hard-as-nails attitude so they get in first....the whole 'beat or be beaten' attitude. they might be assuming you're going to hit on them, and are warning you off - and we all know what assuming makes them!!!

The *******s who feel the need to touch me get a few choice words and a punch in the stomach (or balls, depending on my mood) if necessary. But, a guy approaching me, I don't be rude to him, just let him know I am not interested, have a bf etc. I don't feel the need to be a complete bitch to random people on the meat market
