manyboxes Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Hello Me and my broke up a couple of weeks ago, we have only just moved together and she is shortly to be moving out to live with friends...and all of a sudden something has hit me. Im really scared of living alone, Ive never done it before and I really dont know how Im going to cope, I know I have to face to fear and battle through it but im just really scared, there doesnt seem to be any point living by myself, I only moved out of my parents house to be with the gf Christ I dont know what to do!! Im seriously nervous about it :-(
Green Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 how old are you? If shes on the lease keep making her pay her portion of the rent, or you guys should agree to relet the place. Then you could move out and find some one looking for a room mate. Whats your situation... are you in college?
soapbox Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 my ex lived with me unofficially for a few months before the recent breakup...and while I really miss coming home to him and waking up with him, it's undeniable that there are many perks! You can eat whatever you want for dinner, clean the house the way YOU want it to be, fart/burp/scratch etc freely, masturbate (ha! and can you believe I'm female ) whenever you want, have the whole bed to yourself, watch whatever you want on TV...the list goes on! It really is great to have someone to share a home with, but assuming you someday get married, you will have MANY MANY years to make a home with someone. For now...enjoy having the whole place to yourself!
MalachiX Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Well, I've always been a loner so I can't quite identify. Even when I was staying with my GF and madly in love I'd still need time just to be by myself (usually take it when she was sleeping). Anyway, living alone can be a lot of fun. You get more work done. You catch up on your reading or your shows. You dictate your own schedual. Look at the posatives. You wanna stay up all night building a fort out of legos in the middle of your living room, now's your chance! Or am I the only one who does that?
