SoStupid Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Ok so heres the deal, Been with bf 5 years, Not all of the relationship has been LDR. (travling to and from for 3 years) I started thinking earlier that I wan't to do something Special for my man, Now keep in mind I wont be seeing him for a month so it has to be something kind of small but something to cherish! I cant think of anything creative to do, I have written him poems, sent flowers, cards, gifts, Texts ect to let him know I am thinking about him. I dont want things to get boring while im away! When we are together Things between us are never boring!!!! But for some reason when we are apart I am always Thinking of him Any neat ideas would be great!
SoHotZanzibar Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Try walking through a craft shop? Maybe they have something personal you can make. I'm not suggesting the clay hand imprint, but I dunno, maybe something.

Author SoStupid Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 no kidding!!... Might be alittle bit of $$$ to send it though!
SoHotZanzibar Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 no kidding!!... Might be alittle bit of $$$ to send it though! Probably cost you as much as a gallon of gas... But if you want to go cheap, find a free e-card, or go to a crossword or word finder generator and put in words that reference your relationship
Author SoStupid Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 What am i thinking! Its the small things that matter!!!!!
Author SoStupid Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 I guess if i packaged it properly that might work too...they would be traveling from the U.S to Canada so not too far..
TMichaels Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Does he have any hobbies? Collect certain things? Are there some special moments or experiences you've had that you could send little momentos of? Does he like a certain type of candy or other snack? Make a "Message in a Bottle." A local craft store should have everything you need. Google "Love Tokens" on the web. There are a couple of manufacturers out there that make small metal tokens similar in size to a nickel that have romantic messages on them that come in a little velvet bag. Also Google "Love Coupons" -- there are some you can buy already made up, and tons of sites where you can print your own. What about a digital keychain or photo frame? Depending on the model, you can either record a message and/or load a photo or photos on, too. Take a special photo and use it to create a personalized mouse pad, coffee mug, t-shirt. You can have one made at just about any store that offers in-store digital photo printing, or look on line for "personalized photo gifts." What about an ID bracelet or a set of dog tags? Engrave either with his initials, yours on the reverse side or a special date or message that's meaningful to the both of you. Search on eBay to get a deal. Send him a set of pillowcases sprayed with your cologne. Include a small sample-sized spray bottle of your scent with it, so he can renew the fragrance any time he likes. Is there a special resturant or coffee shop you both enjoy? Send him a gift card with a special note. Does he like a particular sports team? Get him a cap, jersey, or other team logo stuff. Create a CD with songs that are special to the two of you. Make a photo calendar using photos of you, him or both and include special dates -- they can be when you met, special trips, your birthdays, etc. Circle the date in red when he'll next return and be with you. There are dozens of little things you can do/make/send. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Just put on your thinking cap, and have fun! Best, TMichaels
