Whatever you do don't listen to a song call "Two out of Three Ain't Bad" by Meatloaf, you will slit your throat.

LOL - actually I LOVE the Bat out of Hell album = )

Yeah me too. That song is a great song, but during a breakup it's a real killer.

I'm starting a new thread for songs that relate well to the OM/OW if you'd like to come on over and add your ideas. I don't want to T/J here.

How about...an oldie but a goodie

"got along without you before I met you

Gonna get along without you now" ?

Yeah, it's a special one to me. I found it on Bird York's CD which I purchased for the song The Deep (from the movie Crash). Not sure if there's a you tube version. The Deep is also a significant one.

i'm listening to it on youtube right now!! since reading about it here i listened and have totally fallen in love with this song...thank you sooooo much!!:)

Love Stinks- J. Giels band. Good one to wallow in.

Although, I kinda agree with Frank Zappa in that I think sometimes pop music love songs lead people to have unrealistic expectations.

I get a kick out of 'Broken hearts are for *******s', a perverse song that only he could have created.

A nice cheerful one is 'I hate everything about you', by Ugly Kid Joe.

Yeah, those 3 put a much needed smile on my face.

Now if only I had the luxury of NC, but, because of the kids that'll never happen.

Not to T/J, but do you feel or are close to feeling that your betrayal was a blessing in disguise?

Huh? It's not as if this has been good in any way. Yes, it opened my eyes to her true nature, yes maybe there are better times coming, but no, I don't think I'll ever be happy this happened.

Let me put it this way- there are some aspects of my situation that I will never recover from. I have to accept that and move forward in spite of that. Some of the damage is permanent, and I will have to live with the aftermath for the rest of my life. Impossible to put a positive spin on some things, no matter how much saying so would cheer others up.

I really shouldn't have responded to this thread to begin with, I'm not an OM, so the songs I listed speak to me from a different perspective than what was intended to begin with. Sorry bout that.

No need to apologize at all; I only asked because so many BHs will later say they met the true love of their life after their D. Maybe you'll get there someday. I hope so.
