findmyway Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I Don't Want to See You Martina McBride It's an older song, but can be downloaded on itunes. enjoy!
phoenixgirl Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 for me, especially considering he's going back home! I also like "Leave the Pieces" by The Wreckers. I told MM that I think of him every time I hear that song. He was p*ssed.
White Flower Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 When I was in junior high one of my girlfriends wanted to get the attention of an ex-boyfriend who recently broke up with her. As she carried her ghetto-blaster (old term for giant portable radio about 2 feet long and very heavy) she played the song, Baby Come Back by a band called Player. How fitting...
phoenixgirl Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 "Call Me When You're Sober" from Evanescence is a good one too. For me, not necessarily the sober part - but everything else is dead-on.
phoenixgirl Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I prefer Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back." That's my friggin' THEME SONG.
stampdaddy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I prefer Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back." That's my friggin' THEME SONG. how you doin' not bad for a 41 year old white boy, though...
stampdaddy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 It would be cool to get all of these LS'ers doing the Humpty Dance on cue... OR Baby's got back. OR Somethingto lighten the mood...
Gwyneth Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 There's this freestyle song from the 80s a guy sings about placing a letter in the mail, and he and the woman in the song are no longer together, but it's clear he misses her. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of that song or whom sang it!!! But it's really good--very slow and sad. Any ideas?
stampdaddy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) Link Removed And this white girl's got plenty of back... Well, back that thang up!! beep... beep... beep... Edited March 11, 2008 by a LoveShack.org Moderator

Gwyneth Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Mr Postman? We are the World? Pancho and Lefty? haha, no no no...It's Such a good song for this kind of situation too. I think the singer is either Hispanic or Black, with a really nice voice. Freestyle music, maybe even an R&B song--not rap, rock, hip hop, country... I think he did a duet once with Lisa Lisa (if that helps any).

stampdaddy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 "There's a place for US" - Barbara Streisdand "Somewhere Down The Road" - Barry Manilow (no I am not gay, not that there is anything wrong with that.. - Seinfeld) "When We Dance" - Sting "What Hurts the Most" - Rascal Flatts
stampdaddy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Oh, "Me SO Horny" - 2 Live Crew heee heeeeeee:lmao:
phoenixgirl Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I don't listen to sad songs when I'm already depressed - it makes it even worse for me. So in addition to the few I already offered, I also give you "Lacrymosa" by Evanescence "What I've Done" by Linkin Park "No More Sorrow" by Linkin Park "I F*ing Hate You" by Godsmack (not about heartbreak or anything remotely related to it, but very cathartic when you scream it at the top of your lungs) Or "My Immortal" by Evanescence, if you do want the sad stuff.
Author findmyway Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) Too funny stampdaddy! I was just taking my own advice and listening to some of these songs... thought I should post these lyrics to convince some of you to really listen to this one.. great empowerment- I don't want your bulls@#t song. {Lyrics for Copyrighted Material Removed} Edited March 11, 2008 by a LoveShack.org Moderator Lyrics Removed (Copyright Material)
Gwyneth Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I like "Apologize" by OneRepublic. I used to use that line to MM all the time, then a song came out. I thought "How perfect and convenient." It is the theme song to the affair we had
Lookingforward Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) "What Hurts the Most" - Rascal Flatts definitely also More than a memory by Garth Brooks Edited March 11, 2008 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
