When I first met my wife she had no makeup on and she looked great. She likes to do herself up for work and going out and she looks great with it as well so I don't really care either way.

I’ve never understood why women wear make up, you can’t polish your personality and that’s ultimately what matters. I’ve met girls who put on so much make up they actually make themselves more unattractive than without make up. It’s all too amusing, har! Har! Har!

Personality does not come into play until after he's seen you. I only wear eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. When in a rush, I'll just throw on eyeliner.

First time a guy sees me without makeup is the first time we wake up together. Once that happens - all bets are off.

I'm pretty sure every guy I dated met me when I wasn't wearing makeup: it's just not my thing and I don't go far beyond lip balm on a daily basis. I wear it for job interviews, special occasions, or if I'm feeling really sick and need to not look like death warmed over :p

I ended up with no make-up on the second day I spent with the guy I'm seeing - and I felt so naked! I don't use a lot during fall and summer, because I don't look as pasty from the sun - but during the winter and spring... I like to wear it. Anyways, the guy I'm dating tells me that he hates it when girls get all dolled up unless they are going out. Then he proceeded to tell me that while he thinks I'm very pretty, personality means so much more :)

You ever see those pictures of celebrities with or without make up? Without all the make up they look like normal women.

And I agree with the posters that said men have no clue in regards to makeup. Men don't wear it so how would they know? There was this goofy test in Cosmo that had men pick a picture of the model they found most attractive out of three pictures. It was the same model but she had on different levels of make up in all three pictures, a little, medium and alot.

They asked the guys if they liked make up on their women. Most of the guys said that they didn't care if they wore make up or they only liked a little make up. Most of the guys picked the picture where the chick had on the medium amount of make up on as being most attractive, not the chick when she had on only a little make up on.

It takes me a long time before I let him see me without make up! I usually buy waterproof eyelinder and mascara so that doesn't come off. That is pretty much all I wear too.

No, I totally don't agree with that, I think every woman looks MUCH better with some makeup on no matter how naturally gorgeous she is!! Everyone needs some powder, at least in the oily t-zone, nobody wants to shine...

People's features just look more defined with makeup, more defined brows, eyes, lips, rosy cheeks...

I read somewhere that there are certain universal features that men prefer such as juicy lips, big eyes, rosy cheeks etc because they are a sign of youth I suppose.

Even something as simple as curling your lashes and putting on mascara can make a big difference...

A lot of people that you think look natural are not natural, say for example if you are watching a movie and the actress looks like she is wearing "nothing", she is probably wearing 10 products at least to make her look naturally flawless....

Well I don't really like any of the features you listed -

I can honestly say I don't like girls with makeup, its a fact, her face could be completely pale and I would find her just as attractive but I am quite unique.

I walked past a chick with a big scar over her cheek and I found it to be a turn on, so don't say everyones the same.

Actually I remember that article! The funny thing was that the guys picked the pic with the least amount of make-up (but actually it was a decent amount, to make her look natural) and the pic with the most amount of make-up also got a good amount of votes. They also thought it was a totally different girl!

The pic with only a medium amount had the least votes;) I remember b/c my friend cried that it was the same amount of make-up she put on everyday!

Men just really have no clue about makeup... The always say they don't like it but I think most secretly like it...

Great post! I usually try to make it as early as possible, but I find the more I like them, the longer I wait. Even then, I still might add a couple dabs of miracle concealer here or there just to even things out. I'm 32. :D

"Miracle concealer"....??

I use a whole jumbo pack of Polyfilla - !!

Nothing quite like it for 'papering over all those cracks' - !!

You can't tint your lashes :) It's easily done by a beauty therapist, relatively cheap....I would't do a tatoo either

Posted

I tint my own eyelashes... there's no problem there.

But I wouldn't tattoo an outline on my lips, or have 'eyeliner' tattoos...

I don't usually wear any make-up, and when I do its only a little (faint) blush and mascara (only at special events). So, typically, as soon as he sees me lol.

I'm 29 and I don't feel that confident. Maybe I'll get there once I hit 40??

I'm not embarrassed to walk around naked or undress in daylight for some reason.

I am embarrassed about being seen without makeup and eating in front of a guy that I'm interested in though.

Yep... you definitely become more confident the older you get! it's one of the "perks". I am so much more confident than I was when I was in my 20's... and I feel more beautiful now too. I think it's sort of sad to read these comments... I wish some of you would realize that beauty really is more than skin deep! And if you feel beautiful, then you are beautiful! And I think any guy would agree... a confident women is SEXY!

Errr, maybe it was a different article because that wasn't the same results as the one I read. The one I read most of the men picked the model with the medium amount of make up.

I let my h see me without makeup on our second date. We went to the beach so what was the point of wearing it. He loved it and told me he didn't like makeup. I never have worn a lot. It's better to keep your skin looking nice then you won't have to worry about them seeing you without all that stuff. Most men I talk to don't like it.

That's because men have no clue about makeup.

Same here, as well as the model with the most amount of makeup.

If you think about these articles though, many are manufactured to get a certain result. If a woman's makeup is styled to be sultry, it will usually get more positive results from most men (not all, for men who insist they prefer no makeup ).

I think that the majority of men who like women with no make up are farmers!

Yes .... farmers!

Ummm, Farmers, so sexy!:bunny::bunny: Wish my husband was one! I like to wear a little makeup but I guess some women need a whole lot! Thank God for it!!!

My skin already is clear and nice. I just like the dramatic sexpot bombshell makeup look a la Kim Kardashian, really dark smoky eyes, fake lashes, the works. I just like to look glamorous and I like the sexy "Pam Andeson" playboy "slutty" type makeup, it's not about not having just lashes tinted or permanent eyeliner, I like it super super dark... I just like to look glamorous at all times.

I also like to use highlighters so I glow like J-Lo and bronzer and I like to contour my face so it looks less round etc

I am just high maintenance I guess.

I like having makeup on, but it's ok to go out with none at all. And I feel ok, of course I feel more sexy with some lipgloss, mascara, etc. But anyway it's my nature and not only my looks that should attract guys.

I do't mind my bf seeing me with no makeup, after the firt date. If he really likes me, he will like me with no lipstick, if he likes my makeup, thank you my dear, for cutting the wire I don't need at all.

Guys, pay attention to personality also, not only too appearances.
