I love it when a woman looks as natural and true-to-life as possible.

Not much point when she has a good bucket o' paint on!

:p

I let him see it the first time we spend the night with each other.

There is NO way I'm getting up early and getting ready.

If I'm good enough to sleep with, I'm good enough with makeup or not.

Absolutely. I let it all hang out pretty early. What you see is what you get.

No point trying to hide stuff- then it won't be such a shock to him later on:laugh:

Damn you all are brave. Or you can just sleep with the makeup on and hope some is still on the next morning...

Well if I do sleep with it on, it gets all over my nice white pillowcases AND I look like a panda in the morning. I always take it off, its better for your skin too.

OMG lol at the panda look.

Last weekend I washed my face when I got home at night, but was lazy and didn't take off all of my mascara. I figured I'd do it later, but fell asleep before I got around to it. My mom stopped by early in the AM before I was out of bed to drop some things off. When I opened the door to let her in she saw me and said "MY GOD...DO YOU HAVE A BLACK EYE?"

Imagine a guy thinking he punched you in the middle of the night.

Naw, I can honestly say I would choose no makeup over makeup no matter how she looked without it, makeup doesn't make you look much better - I think its all a ploy by companies to get people to buy crap.

Have you read whats in that ****? **** I wouldn't want it in my house, let alone on someones skin I was going to be touching.

No, I totally don't agree with that, I think every woman looks MUCH better with some makeup on no matter how naturally gorgeous she is!! Everyone needs some powder, at least in the oily t-zone, nobody wants to shine...

People's features just look more defined with makeup, more defined brows, eyes, lips, rosy cheeks...

I read somewhere that there are certain universal features that men prefer such as juicy lips, big eyes, rosy cheeks etc because they are a sign of youth I suppose.

Even something as simple as curling your lashes and putting on mascara can make a big difference...

A lot of people that you think look natural are not natural, say for example if you are watching a movie and the actress looks like she is wearing "nothing", she is probably wearing 10 products at least to make her look naturally flawless....

Well, nothing wrong with that- my vanity and security has always been my hair. I feel that with short hair I wouldn't look at good.... so I keep it long. The last time I thought my hairdresser cut it too short I started adding fake pony tails to keep the length.:o

Understandable that everyone has a security blanket they want to take into public with them.

I go to the gym without make-up because I don't want to get acne from working out with it on... same with sleeping. I always take off my make up before bed or I will break out. Even if it's Matt Damon staying over- the make up comes off before bed...lol.

My long hair is also my security blanket... but so is makeup too. I guess I have lots of security blankets. I also could never wear my hair short, like it long...

I only wear makeup on extremely rare occasions. I couldn't imagine worrying about waking up early to do my makeup so the guy I like wouldn't see me without it. That's kind of like saying I wouldn't have sex with the lights on 'cause he might not like what he saw.

I like to know right away if the guy is going to scream when he see's me in the morning. No reason to delay that. :D

That's my philosophy.

I'll wear it sometimes but I make sure I don't on the first date.

Cutegirl, is there anything you want to tell us?

New guy perhaps? Did things work out with that cute guy you were talking about a few weeks ago?

I’ve never understood why women wear make up, you can’t polish your personality and that’s ultimately what matters. I’ve met girls who put on so much make up they actually make themselves more unattractive than without make up. It’s all too amusing, har! Har! Har!

I'm imagining the guy waking up next to you, drowsily looking over, and then coming awake with a shock, thinking to himself, "Oh my god, I've heard of beer goggles, but I never knew they ended up on the woman in the morning!"

No, there's nothing to tell... lol I was just curious in general for no reason in particular. I just wonder about weird things like that... Me and the cute guy are only talking, I like to take things slow. He's not seeing me without makeup anytime soon. (Haven't slept over or done anything with him yet!)

A very HOT panda thank you very much. Anyway, he (my BF) is so captivated by the rest of my hotness that the panda eyes are barely noticeable.

He has bigger things to worry about in the morning anyway- if I get woken up too early I am more like a grizzly with a sore head.

This is exactly what I mean, I heard lots of stories about women doing this. I think it's kinda funny but I also wonder how common it is... that's why I started this topic.

I remember the first time my bf stayed at my house for the night - He woke in the morning, looked at me and said "you are just as beautiful in the morning! awwwww bless him, the lil liar lol

I understand women wanting to doll themselves up and look good but if you can't even let a man you are involved with see you with no makeup that is a little too much.

Posted

I remember when I was young I could not eat infront of a new guy - I guess that is the same as the make-up thing - all about insecurity!

Now a guy takes me as he finds me or he doesnt take me! lol

Once I get comfortable with a guy eventually he would see me without makeup but never in the beginning...

I work out with boyfriends, shower with them, get ready for work in front of them at their place or mine...(all without makeup, of course). They all see me fresh-faced as soon as those events occur. :) Sometimes that's only 2 weeks in.

That's a good attitude to have, guys like women who are confident... I'm self conscious though, I don't know if I would feel comfortable working out with a guy I was into because I'm not looking my best when working out, sweating, making "weird faces" when lifting weights etc...

I don't think I would feel comfortable with having a guy seeing me get ready because sometimes I take long... I can get ready fast if I have to but sometimes I just prefer to take long because I kind of enjoy the process of doing my makeup and taking my time ...

And it's embarrassing cause I use all kinds of weird brushes, (eye brushes, brush to draw my eyebrows on etc etc it's like I'm painting my face) and I'm afraid the guy will be like "WTF is she doing"...

OMG I still have this insecurity, I get weirded out eating in front a guy too. I would prefer it if they sat next to me instead of in front of me during a meal because I feel like they can see me up close and scrutinize me, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Well cutegirl you need to realise that you ARE a cute girl!

How old are you?

I only got so confident in my 30's

I would never undress in broad daylight infront of my SO but now it all comes off and I dont care!

I'm 29 and I don't feel that confident. Maybe I'll get there once I hit 40??

I'm not embarrassed to walk around naked or undress in daylight for some reason.

I am embarrassed about being seen without makeup and eating in front of a guy that I'm interested in though.

:o I don't wear makeup any more. I used to be really into it, when I was younger (early 20s) but I guess being in a LTR has made me lazy. My SO prefers it when I don't wear makeup and he stands behind me making funny faces when I put it on if we have to go somewhere.

The most I'll wear is bare minerals, just to get rid of the shine. That's it.

I don't really wear that much make-up to begin with, just a little concealer, mascara, bronzer and if I am going out then a little more.

I would say though the first time he would see me w/o make-up would be the morning after sex.

I let a new guy see me without makeup pretty early on. It could be the first night I spend with him, or maybe sooner on a sick day. I don't look drastically different without it, perhaps just a bit younger.

The new guy saw me without makeup the second time we hung out and he told me I look beautiful, so he is definitely a keeper!
