NuChance Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Today was my first court appearance to begin the procedure..and we are at odds, because our main source of contention is dividing our assets. The largest one being the condo. We now have to go for a hearing to settle a disagreement about an agreement he insisted I signed (an agreement written in German, a language which I don't understand at all) ...so while sitting there going through this I felt like enough wave of stress overtaking me. I feel powerless and overcome with fear and anxiety.

But I believed my husband..I never imagined at that time my husband would try to deceive me. Believe it or not I thought he loved me and I trusted my husband. If you can't trust your husband to tell you the truth why marry them.
whichwayisup Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 You can't trust him now. Talk to your lawyer, get an interpreter if necessary. Problem with divorces - Bad feelings can arise and with that bring mistrust. So again, do not trust your soon to be EX husband.

Before you sign anything especially if it was written in a foreign language, do get a translator.
