qwertyu Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 im quite confused so im wondering if anyone might have a clue? anw i like this guy & i think he knows cos i made it pretty obvious. once at a party, he held my hands etc (yeah ok maybe its just things people do at a party) but after that we got each others contact & we interacted quite a bit, there was subtle flirting too. thing is, he studies in states, im in asia. when he first went back, we still chatted online quite a bit. but one day, everything just stopped. none of us initiated conversations, neither did i cos i didnt want to take the first move. it went on for a week & one day i decided to just talk to him. we chatted awhile & i finally asked if theres smth wrong the convo went like this me: hey is there anything about me i ought to know? i think you've been acting a lil strange lately him: how so? me: i just feel like things between us are different. you're kinda cold him: oh i think its just school. my classes are really f-ed up. hows yours? he went on asking like 2 more questions then he said he had to go. but after that conversation, we didnt speak again. its been weeks already. i really wna know if theres something wrong, its just so weird! but i dont wna ask him cos i already did. the situation is quite complicated though: 1. he's my ex bf's friend, theyre not very close but they do play football tog when he comes back although in different teams. we have a lot of common friends. 2. when i knew him, i only broke up with my ex for about 3-4 months. i did tell him a little abt my ex, i dont know if he still thinks maybe i like my ex or smth. 3. he also had something going on with a girl here (in asia) but things didnt work out for them. he was pissed w her so he stopped talking to her but recently i saw them being friends on facebook. so i dont know if he suddenly likes her again or smth. 4. or maybe he fell for someone in states, although i highly doubt it but i can never be sure. // what do you guys think? i dont get it! i mean a few weeks back you talk to me so often & you kinda flirt w me but now you just suddenly decide to cut off all contact w me? i mean what caused the change? i cant think if its becos of me or him.
xpaperxcutx Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Ever read the book "He's Just Not That Interested In You"? Not to be blunt or anything, but take it as it is. The distance alone between you and him are enough to tell you he's not willing to pursue anything deeper with you. It was mainly just harmless flirting. He might have liked you in the beginning but after leaving, he might simply have lost interest, or the interest had dimmed. He might even have met someone new. These are assumptions, but if he were interested he'd im first, or initiate contact with you. You say that you guys haven't spoken in weeks.... but does he still go online? When you talk with him, does he immediately type his responses, or does it take more than a minute for him to respond? And are his answers mostly yes or nos? A guy who's interested would at least make an effort to talk to you because he wants to. But he hasn't so you shouldn't waste your time over him.
