Sand&Water Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I have known this guy for a while now and everything from the start seemed to be going fine. Until at one point he ended a conversation he and I were having with this: "I'm not that happy when I know that you're not that happy...it's just that way... my life isn't just about me." What does that mean? What is he trying to say exactly? I think he's in denial of his feelings. Is this possible? I don't know. Or perhaps he was just complimenting me in a friendly way? Sand&Water
SpanksTheMonkey Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 That could be taken in a few different ways what was the context of the conversation in general?

Sand&Water You sound as though you don't really like what he said to you. Since I don't know what you said before that statement, I would take it as a compliment. What I take it as him saying is: "When you're sad, I'm sad. That's just how it is, my life isn't about thinking only of me." If anything, I would say he's trying to connect with you more and letting you know that how you are feeling affects him, too.
DanielMadr Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 It means: Id like to sleep with you so I try to come up with something sensitive and caring.....oh I f@ked up.....I have to qualify myself now. Sand&Water please stop analysing, either you want to end up with him in bed or you dont.
NuTuDating Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 If he's serious, then it really bothers him when you're down. I can relate. If he knows your upset, he gets upset - not with you, per se, but for you. He cares.
