angie16 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 i have another thread below, but basically my ex broke up withe me 6 months ago after 2 years of being togehter and living together because he didn't know if he wanted to marry me anymore (we wern't formally engaged but had discussed it at length over a year and a half. also his dad had died 6 months earlier and he was still taking it hard). It was a bad breakup. we both admitted on the outset that we were still in love with each other, but he was convinced he couldn't make me happy and that he needed time to figure out where his life was going. I moved out and we didn't talk or see each other for 5 months. In any case we started IM'ing about a month ago, and met up 2 weeks ago and had a wonderful afternoon togehter. He has been initiating IM'ing me for the past week, but we have still yet to talk about us, just surfacey catching up. My question is this. Do I call him? And initiate the next level of contact? (Since we're just IM'ing right now). Or, do I hang back and wait for him to make the move? He's a very slow to act with most things and i wonder if he doesn't know that i am interested. Thoughts?
sedgwick Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 If he's the one who did the breaking up, let him be the one to bring up the relationship.
bustertypsy Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I think it is his responsibility to do the contacting.Afterall he split you two up,so let him make the effort to reunite. It is good that you two are talking, but any effort to talk seriously needs to come from him.If that is what he wants, then sit tight and he will come to you.
