s_n_d Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 So i found out from my bestfriend that my ex is seeing someone... She says she went onto his facebook profile and saw a picture of them together and under the comments, one of his friends commented something like "Aww your dating _____ now" or something like that. The weird thing is he hasnt set his relationship status to "In a relationship with __________" and its supposedly been a while since theyve been together. This woman hes seeing used to flirt with him when we were together and i know she has facebook too so why the secrecy. Anyways when i got the news a little while ago, I wasnt surprised that he was with someone else and I felt nothing. Does this mean Im over him then?
Author s_n_d Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Maybe all of this will just hit me later tonight.
SeraBella Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 It could mean you're over him. Or it hasn't sunk in. Go out tonight and celebrate something...anything. Happy UnBirthday!!!! Buy a tiara, grab some beads, call a friend or two (or whatever) and go to a bar, pretend it's your birthday and enjoy some free drinks! Or...buy a cheap veil, and pretend it's your bachelorette party. It'll be a great time! And it will keep your mind off of him and focus on you...that way you don't have to worry about it "sinking in" tonight.
Author s_n_d Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Hahahaha As much as Id love to do that, I simply cannot. All my friends are busy today of all days and the weather is terrible. Dont worry. Im not as depressed as I thought i would be if i ever found out what i did today. Honestly, right this second Im happy.. Really happy:D
Freddy Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Get a bottle of booze or wine and pizza. Eat the pizza and if it starts to go down hill then drink the alcohol. If that does work then hit yourself on the head with the bottle. Just kidding about the second part, your doing good and that's great!
carhill Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I like this guy's advice Good on ya OP for moving on. Now clue your friends in that your ex's life is irrelevant to you now and they don't need to "check" on him...

She and my ex talk a lot so she just thought I should know and Im glad she told me...Honestly. I needed to hear it. She was hesitant about telling me but it was the best thing.
Author s_n_d Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 Its almost 25 days NC for me and I have no intentions of breaking it..
carhill Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Thanks for defining that parameter. Since I'm new to NC, it is OK for others to voluntarily provide info/condition reports on X, just as long as you don't ask or contact X directly. Good to know

Since I'm new to NC, it is OK for others to voluntarily provide info/condition reports on X, just as long as you don't ask or contact X directly. Good to know Basically YOU contacting your ex directly or indirectly(by asking his or her friends how he/she is doing) is considered breaking NC. But my bestfriend is a friend of my exs too and SHE told me about him, I didnt ask so I didnt break NC. I guess it can be complicated for new users of LS, but once you get the concept its pretty easy to follow. So far, its helped A LOT and i think im a little way to go to being over my ex.
