gfto Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) I'm late to the party on this one, but I'll throw in my 2 cents. She said that she usually can't hang out Thursdays but this week she's pretty sure she can. So we exchange numbers and she says to email her and she'll get back to me. This is called the "definite maybe," which means she's not interested. If she had really wanted to join you at the comedy club Thursday night, she would've given you a straight answer: "Yes, that sounds like fun" or "I'm booked Thursday, but could we do something Friday?" Instead, she gave you that wishy-washy, iffy, kinda-sorta answer. The next time a woman gives you that line, just say, "oh, that's fine. I'll just call you sometime when your schedule is a little tighter." Then, delete her number from your phone and move on to the next girl! And, try to refrain from sending a "that was rude; you could've just told me you weren't interested" e-mail. It just makes you look uptight and lets her know she got to you.
