I am leaving in 2 weeks, should I just break it off with her? Is there any hope?

As soon as you started chatting with her she started bitching about how it took you too long to say "HI" to her. Then she started name calling by being the first person to say "JERK" - course you said it back to her, so you're kinda on the same level there. Then it pretty much goes down hill from there. Ick. I would break up with her too.

When she called me that I did not take it offensively and I was messing around when I called her the same, trying to lighten the mood. As to why I didnt pick up the phone, I don't have one right now. Being on the verge of deployment I went ahead and cancelled it early to save some money.

I think I am going to be sick Sorry that you're going through this so close to deployment. But it does sound like you've made the best decision for yourself, for this time in your life -- there are some screwed up dynamics in the relationship that likely won't sort themselves out in just 2 weeks, and you DON'T need the extra aggro after you leave. Still. It sucks at the best of times... all's I can offer is "hang in there."
mylovegrowsdeeper Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I agree that she sounds extremely childish and immature and like a DAMN HEADACHE. However, there are two sides to every story and we all do not know wether or not that is normal behavior for her or wether she is being petty and trying to split hairs because she's frustrated and hurt and worried about you leaving. That could also be a very likely possibility. If this is typical behavior for her all the time..I second the notion that you made the right choice. If you could live your life with the choice to have headaches or not, which would you choose? Because all you'd be doing is choosing the "to have a headache" option.
