I dated a guy I met on the internet briefly. He dumped me after one month because "he is not ready for a relationship". So I accepted it and went no contact. During the last 3 months he has always been the one to make contact to which I respond - I last saw him on New Year's Eve. He said he will call me later but never did so I continued with no contact. Then he visits my profile about a month ago but I did not respond, 3 weeks later (yesterday) he visits my profile again and sends me a wink.

So I text him and said is he trying to wind me up. He text me back saying what do I mean. I kept it lighthearted as I still like him and said why is he winking at me and does he look like his photo (just my humour).

He replies saying that he cannot help if he fancies me can he. A few minutes later, he calls me and just waffled on about what he is up to and then goes on about how he went on dates with a girl he met online. I thought this was insensitive of him. Then he said how hard it is to meet someone not only to find them attractive but to have that chemistry.

So I asked him so what was the problem with me since he said he was not ready for a relationship with me that's why he dumped me. He said that "we are just not compatible" but he is physically attracted to me. I asked him to explain and he said for example that text I sent him, he just did not get my humour.

My point is, he has not known me that long and is basing his opinion of not going out with me because he just "don't get my humour". Surely he would have known whether we had the chemistry after 4 or 5 dates and not after 3 months. If the chemistry is not there then I don't see why he is still trying to contact me. I just don't get him. I want him to know that he has hurt me.

I don't know I guess I just want to vent as he has annoyed me!

Hes so obviously a jerk that you need to let this go and try to move on.

Sorry for being blunt but life is too short for you to waste on this guy who keeps telling you he likes you and then contradicts himself saying your not compatible and he doesnt like your humour.

He does not sound like he's worth your time. It sound's to me like he's simply stringing you along.. I think your better of without him. Good Luck!
