The farther it gets from the breakup my theory begins to make more and more sense. My ex and I are both 20. Long story short I wasn't into the whole fake ID thing and getting into bars before i was 21 just didnt want to risk not having my drivers license. So i had limited things to do with my friends and all her friends were single and went to the bar and got like dudes 3-7 whatever years older than them to buy them drinks and all that bull****. I saw pictures and have heard from others that my ex who said she wantd nothing to do with guys is interested in some old dude i'd guess 22-25. I just have to flippin know, what is it with girls and guys who can buy them alcohol. I have no shot, how do i compare im just not old enough. If i was one year older i could almost gurantee she'd still be here with me. I dont get it, i see it as being so fake, superficial and all of that. Things are getting better but just finding out why she left me and the BS reasons she gave me before just make me really upset. The day she finds out i actually loved her and all of that not just because she showed interest in me because i bought her drinks when she was underage, its going to be way too late. Like seeing all these things and while being single and girls who have boyfriends trying to get at me and all this stuff, I dont get how i could trust a girl again. I mean my friends break-ups and things ive heard and seen and personal experience are making all these girls in this world seem so fake and so just plain out rude to guys who actually give a sH**.

Like she went to the bar illegall for the first time with her sister who was 25 and her bridal party. It was her sisters bachlorette party or whatever. And apparently she was having all the guys in DC buy her drinks blah blah. The weekend after that, out of nowhere she wanted a break. Three days later she told me she loved me and couldnt live without me. Then 2 months later the break was for real.

It seems to me i must have built her confidence up so much(she wasnt very confident and was very scared to even take her clothes off with me and things like that) that she wantd to hear it from every guy.

Tell me if im correct, is there some kind of phase girls go through where they want so much attention from guys and especially hearing it from older ones, what does it do make u extremely happy or something??? I mean hearing it from a 20 year old and a 22 year old is there some significant difference?

I mean how fair is this. No guy is going to freak out if a 24 yr old girl said hes attractive compared to a 20.

I know i shouldnt worry about it i know all of that, its just really hard knowing i cant compare to someone because of the date my parents decided to have sex.

Hate to say it but you are likely going to be too young even for women your own age until you are old enough to discern what really makes an "old dude."

Take it from one who knows from personal experience, NOBODY in their 20s is even remotely old.

22-25 is old? That's really cute.

Add another 10 years onto that and then there is an age gap :p Not saying that 35 year old men are old, just 15 years older then me

Who knows why we like older men, could be because of a number of reasons, but then I guess that at least you have it to look forward to as you get older

Try being a woman in her 30's dealing with men her age including her husband dating women in their early 20's. That is hard.

I meant older than I. Lets use our heads now and think about it.

I am so attracted to older woman. I wonder what that is all about? Younger women just seem so boring...

Hey old timer quit using all our oxygen!!!!

I've done the older man/younger woman thing, what a disaster! But 22-25 being an older man when you are 20, of course thats not what th OP means, he is pee'd off that his gf wants to go to bars when he wants to respect the laws (and not get caught/lose his drivers licence).

Man, all I can say is wait till you are 21 and going to bars, you will see far, far worse thatn anything you have seen. Oh and mines a pint of Guinness!! Cheers!

Maybe it's just her preference. And TBH, the new guy who is 22 could still be in college, or in a graduate program, which wouldn't make him very much different from a guy 1 or 2 years younger than him.

My SO is 9 years older than me. I've always liked dating men who are at least a few years older than me. It's just my preference.

Forget her...

She just doesnt want you.... you are so young and have so much more women to meet and things to look forward to!

Why dont you hook up with an 18-19 year old girl? Next year you can buy her beer.....

If I was nearby, I´d even go buy you beer so you could offer the ladies if thats what you think they want/need....

Listen, have fun.....because, unfortunately, one day you will be back on this site.....and it wont be pretty..... you will know what i mean when it happens....

Peace my brother....

In the short run and the long run, being a man is all about patience.

When you're 16 and in high school, the chicks are looking for the college guys.

When you're 20 and in college, the chicks are looking for the rockstars.

When you're 24 and starting out, the chicks are looking for the VP.

BUT...

Soon it's gonna be your turn. Take it from a 27 year old who is starting to see this bear truth. As a man, your value goes up as you get older. Women's goes down.

Your 20 year old is coming...right now she's in elementary school. :D I would work on your career and your personality so that you have enough money to afford her, and some experiences to teach her, cuz after all, she's gonna be 20...at that age girls are all high maintanence bootches...

QFT.

Aside from that, most people in there late teens or early 20's are in the wild stage of life. Just lost the parental control and still young enough not to be burnt out on partying. I got tired of all that around 23 tbph, but I was never really into the partying lifestyle.
