LosingMyDreamGirl Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Almost 2 months ago, I expressed interest in a girl that rents from me. She gave me her number and we contacted each other and texted a few times. I guess we talked a little over a week and a half time period the first part of Jan. I had asked her out a couple of times and she was always 'too busy' to go out. The last time we talked, she told me she would be 'busy' the next 3 weekends, so I took that as her way of telling me she was not interested and left it at that. About a week ago, the SIM card in my cell phone went out, so I lost a lot of my phone numbers. Valentine's Day, I get a text from a number I did not recognize. It said "Happy Valentine's Day XOXO". I had no idea who it was. So, I sent a message back saying "Happy Valentine's. I feel dumb, but I dont remember who this is". Did not get a response back. The next morning, I sent another one saying "My SIM card went out in my cell phone last week, so I will need you to tell me who this is so I can put your name back in my phone". Still no response. Now the next message was a 'miss tell' from me, but I will still put this in here because I know it can be freaky if taken wrong. I went to a friends house for Valentine's. Him and his wife had friends over. One of their group of friends has a daughter my son was playing with, so the message that was intended for my friend went to [Her]: "What was that little girls name that was at your house last night?" Was just trying to find out for my son's sake. Today, I remembered who it was. It was [Her], so I decided to try one more time. I sent one last text to her that said "I remember who this is now. This is [Her]. How have things been going with you?" Now, here are my questions: Why would I get a random text like that? If she was interested in me, wouldnt she have contacted me back by now? Could the reason I did not 'remember' who she was be why she has not contacted me? Do I do like before and just 'forget' about her again?

Honestly if I met someone and they tell me they are busy for the next three weekends and dont give an alternative option, i put them on the back pedal.. And only speak to them when its convient for me. Sounds like she was just being nice and sent the Valentine Day message. Or maybe she really is busy like she states. Either way I wouldnt put much thought into it. I wouldnt text her again and say sorry for not remembering you because my sim card was messed up. If she doesnt call then that means she really wasnt interested in the first place.
