9Lives Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Ladies, I want you to keep your chin up on this day. If married was all that great...this website would not exist. I have matured to the point where I am okay when I dont get anything for Valentines Day. It used to bother me if I did not get anything. Right now, I dont have a man so it was no big deal not to get anything. If the mm would have gotten me something, I probably would have thrown it in the trash and cussed him out. STill bitter It is good to give to others on V Day and make someone smile. That is a good thing to do on V day.
OpenBook Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Honey it's good to make someone smile EVERY day.:D
LakesideDream Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 As a married man Valentines was always one of my favorites. It was all about love and my wife, even when things were lean I would save to get her something lasting and nice.. and some See's candy and roses. It was all about her. No kids, no reletives, just us. In my current situation I wouldn't dream of ignoring a valentines day with married GF, reasons same as above. Giving is all so good. It brings the heart of the giver joy. Why deny yourself that happiness as a giver.
Daisylady Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I wish my husband thought Valentines Day was a special occasion to celebrate love. He tells me it is just another day so why waste the money. I however, strongly disagree. A woman likes to be pampered with that extra little bit of attention that she does not get every day. This should be an extra special day durring the year to celebrate your love.
OWoman Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 In my neck of the woods we call it "Valium-times Day"...
