I'd have the top down and stop right in front of your driveway. I'd ring your doorbell, and you'd come out, looking ravishing and beautiful, like you always do. I'd kiss your hand and open the door for you, and give you the first of many roses. This one would be white. I'd put on that Tool CD that I borrowed from you and never gave back, and play it softly, so we could talk and laugh until we got to the restaurant. Koi, the best sushi place in LA, and the best table, because I reserved it a month in advance. The best wine, the best food, the best girl. I'd check your coat and hold your shawl while you ate. I'd look across at you into your eyes and tell you everything I've wanted to tell you for so long. You're my best friend. You love me so well. You treat me like a king. You're so smart, and you're going to be that psychologist. You're so artistic, and I still have the painting you gave me up on my wall. You are the most wonderful girl I have ever known, the best lover (oops, did I say that out loud?) Is your mood shifting a little? I see that coy smile. When we leave after my sushi and lobster and your vegan plate (I never understood why you do that), the valet would pull our car around as soon as we stepped out. We'd have an enlightening drive back home, and discuss new things about each other. Say things, promise things to build trust. Grow together. Your eyes are riveting. Then I take you to my home, and Loveshack can guess the rest. Maybe I'll do a part 2 if people want to see it.
