kotan Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 my ex broke up with me and yet she still flirts with me and says she was too busy for me because of work and things. but the day after she was hitting on me and flirting with me and all that crap. her best friend is a really close friend to me and i asked her to see what the real reason why she broke up with me. she told me she met this other guy when he went to the restaurant she works at. So now im just heartbroken and confused to why would she still flirt with me and try to kiss me and hang with me if she likes another guy? She doesnt drive and expects me to give her rides and everything but i dont feel like helping her out in anyway anymore. so what should i do and say to her about all this? thanks for listening
ElvenPriestess Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 First off, I'm really sorry. It's sad that people don't just come clean about the TRUE reason they break up with a person. As far as approaching this, I would first prompt her to tell you the truth. Ask her if there are any reasons she broke up with you she hasn't told you about. You could even ask if there's some one else. Now if she confesses at least she'll have been honest, and you will gain more closure than from before. If she doesn't tell you when you give her this opportunity then you'll know she has no respect for you or your feelings. In either case, I'd cut your ties with her.

matt367 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I second the leash theory. Shes keeping you as a backup so she can retreat to you if things dont work out with the restuarant guy. You should get some clarification from her though about you and her and the situation between her and restuarant guy especially if your giving her rides and spending gas money. Dont be that guy that does favors for the girl you love when she likes/is dating someone else, i was that guy dont be me
