khov23 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) is text messaging better than calling to communicate with girls in the beginning. What's your take on this? I really don't want to call to make a date and get voicemail. And leaving a message leaves it on her court. Do you think text messaging is better? Edited February 11, 2008 by khov23
Unsure Marie Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Texting is not better than communicating in person. However, I don't think it is a bad idea to send a text to a girl to ask her out. I recently just got my very first cell phone (no I am not ancient, I'm only in my 20's, I'm just way behind the times). I recently started seeing a guy and he sent me my very first text. Which was him asking me out for the first time. He is really shy so I think that was probably the easiest way he could work up the nerve to ask me out. I am really glad he did, No matter which way he did. Asking someone out for the first time is very stressful and I think texting can help take a little of the stress off. If she accepts the date I would then call her to set up plans.
EYECANDY000 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 If you feel a little uneasy about leaving a voice mail then theres nothing wrong with asking someone if they would like to go out over text. Although its not as formal but it is a little more convient to converse. I would send the text and ask how shes doing? and if she would like to go out sometime, and specify when
starlite Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I have to disagree with the above posters. I think you should make the call, especially since it is to ask her out of a first date.
