AlwaysLost Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I have been seeing a guy for 2 months. I always look cute and have a new (to him) outfit on. But, when can I start to recycle an outfit? Do guys even notice these things?
Trialbyfire Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Guys notice how cute you look in the outfits. Beyond that, most of them are not slaves to fashion. I seriously wouldn't be too concerned since most of them are more concerned about what's under your outfits...
blind_otter Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Does anyone else remember that Seinfeld about the woman who wore the same outfit to all their dates?
Jilly Bean Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Does anyone else remember that Seinfeld about the woman who wore the same outfit to all their dates? LMAO. TOTALLY thought of the same thing, Otter. Too funny. It's been my experience that guys don't notice your clothing too often. I think 2 months is plenty of time to retread an outfit. Women really dress for other women, not for men.
Author AlwaysLost Posted February 7, 2008 Author Posted February 7, 2008 Thanks for your replies . . . I know sounds silly and I guess I should be happy this is my only concern after 2 months
EC Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 LMAO! Im at 2 months too and was freaking out about the same thing! lol Nice to know Im not alone and congrats!
amaysngrace Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Yes that is good that this is your only worry. As for me I wear the same ten things repeatedly until I no longer can because my dog bit that up too! I promised myself that I won't shop for clothes or shoes until this phase of his is over. Yesterday my BF came by on his way to work, climbed into bed with me to give me a kiss good morning. He wished me happy anniversary. Then he left. (it wasn't our anniversay btw not even close...he's just silly) He called about an hour later to tell me he had a rip in the back of his coat from my dog. The moral of my story is that you should be happy that you have two months worth of cute clothes!

Do guys even notice these things? Im sure he will understand that you dont have a year supply of clothes. Switch up the outfit. Wear the pants on one date with a different shirt. GUys are just glad that you made an effort to even look good for them.
KissYouBack Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Guys may notice an outfit if it stands out in some way (or if they particularly like it), but 2 months is more than enough time. Even if he does notice, I'm sure he understands. Either way, if he likes you he's not going to care how many times you wore something.
dropdeadlegs Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I'm wearing the same thing I wore just days ago, and he still loves me! (velour sweat pants and a t-shirt, no bra) My hair is in the same pony-tail, too! Two months, I guaranty he won't care.
johan Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Doesn't anyone believe in a lucky skirt? I doubt you have any unlucky shirts.
dropdeadlegs Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Giving this a second thought, recycle the shirt with a different bottom and make it a whole new look.
Trialbyfire Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I doubt you have any unlucky shirts. Shirts or skirts?
johan Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Shirts or skirts? Uh.... The skirt thing is more than I can take, so I'm sticking with shirt.
Storyrider Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Uh.... The skirt thing is more than I can take, so I'm sticking with shirt. He's an, um, shirt man?
Trialbyfire Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 He's an, um, shirt man? So he chases shirts?
dropdeadlegs Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 So he chases shirts?Wouldn't you know best?
Storyrider Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 So he chases shirts? Or what lies beneath.
dropdeadlegs Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Methinks the perp would know best. For certain, Agreed!
johan Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I don't chase skirts or shirts. I chase what's in them.
HotPink Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Men do not care what you wear, they just care about how quick they can get it off of you!
