Hi everybody.

It's been a while since I have visited. I still am a bit hurt from the breakup. It has been 7 months. Yes, contact has been made intermittenly but I think that it is now clear to her that I don't want to hear from her unless she is trying to be back together.

No contact is working for me. The first few months I was pretty much useless. I was not a functioning human being and all I did was feel sad, angry, and hopeful.

The last few months I have been exercising, dieting, even working, and to tell you the truth it feels great. Do I miss my ex, you bet. Would I try again with her if she asked, probably. But to be honest not having contact is the best thing because contact would only send our heads reeling again and that is the last thing I(or her) need right now. I am on my way to achieving balance and I like it.

This year for Valentines day I am going to travel to Chicago for the weekend. For Spring break I am going to Europe. These are trips I would be hard pressed to take if I were dating someone. I decided to take these trips as spur of the moment decisions and I have nobody to answer to. It feels great. I am enjoying the single life again.

Anyways just giving a ray(or wave) of hope to those who are more recently hurting. Yes it has taken some time, but someone from my present, has become someone from my past, and that is ok. I haven't met anyone new, except a new version of myself.

Good job! I have been doing a lot of hiking ,lifting weights, playing basketball pick up games ,working on my pontiac trans am . Staying busy is the key. I need to do some traveling as soon as I get a vacation from work.

Good on you, thanks for the positive post, that means I'm heading in the right direction.

Thanks for the encouragement - we need to see that the hard work is paying off for some people. How right you are about sending your head reeling - I don't even want to get back with my ex right now, and contact still gives me false feelings of hope and desire for us to somehow fix what was broken and try again. I had to live with her for a month post-break and I am having a much easier time moving on now that I am out!

Glad to hear that you are doing great and stick with the exercise - I am getting such positive responses on the new "fitter" me that I am motivated to lose 10 more pounds and get where I was at 23 (I'm 40 now).

I hear you all the way. It's been about seven months since my break up as well and honestly it was hell the first three months but since then my life has been nothing but amazing.

I crushed my previous years sales by over 200,000 in just two months, bought a house, got very lean and muscular, got a job bartending on the weekends and even bought a house. Not to mention the ladies have been coming out of the wood work.

So far 2008 has been a good year for me and we're not even two months into yet!

I don't know that I'll go back to bartending, but the rest of this paragraph is downright inspiring. I am already back to lean and muscular, but I have got to get past the pain and get smokin on my new work project. If I kick butt on it, I can probably make an additional 30 in bonus $ this year.

Good stuff on you Scooter!
