khov23 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I met a old classmate last thursday night and i had such a great time with her. I can't say I'm in the 'friend zone' with her cause I have not seen her in such a long time..... Anyway i told her that night that she should come to a party with me which is this upcoming Saturday. And she said she'll be there... Question is when should I confirm it with her? Call or text? ...I hear different points of view on this. What's your take? Any other advice you can give me would be great...such as should I be very casual with her at the party or aggressive, etc.? What do you think my approach should be? Thanks
backspn Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 So you havent gone out with her before? This will be your unofficial first date. Going to a party at friends house isnt a date. Take it slow. After the party ask her if she would like to get together next weekend. If she says yes then let her know you'll call her this week about the details.

Agreeing to go to a mutual party isn't a date, yet. Now, if at this party you hit it off, and end up meeting one on one for something, then I'd consider it a date. My last relationship I met the guy a few times in group settings before we had a real date, takes some pressure off and lets you see if it's worth pursuing any further. If the party doesn't go well, well then you dont have to even worry about contact about a first date :-)
