some girls around your age tend to be quite... immature and often times are pressured into being shallow for the sake of making an impression for their friends. fortunately, i was not one of these girls, but witnessed a lot of my high school peers act this way. essentially this is a cruel game we females play with ourselves. we know what we want, but sometimes shy away from going after it because of stupid reasons. some girls don't want their friends to talk about their man in a manner they wouldnt accept, or make fun of them because their man has acne, crooked teeth, 10 extra pounds, or any other minor imperfection you can think of. basically to avoid any conflicts within the friend group. girls look for acceptance amongst their peers. unfortunately, a lot of young girls are catty and quite... how to put this, quite superficial. i noticed you mentioned you were "chubby" and i can't help but think you may feel as though this may be part of the problem. if that's the case you have one of three options, (please don't take this harshly because its not meant to be malicious--my man has a small beer belly and i love it) the first being to lose whatever chub you may feel is stopping you from getting a girl. if that doesnt help with obtaining a relationship, hey, at least you'll feel better about yourself. the second option is to attempt to exude more confidence. i know for me, if a man is unsure of himself or carries himself like he's trying to blend in or become unnoticed, then that guy has already written himself out of being a potential candidate. i personally love a man who is sure of himself. but remember, there's a fine line between confidence and cockiness and cockiness is something most women will ultimately grow to hate. your third options is to put girls to the back burner for the time being and work on your music while still keeping your platonic friendships... trust me, they help. you're young still... and a lot is gonna change in the next decade. the people you are currently in school with, or went to school with... will ultimately change as well. keep your head up and good luck with the music! :)
