slipstream Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 My ex broke up with me two months ago after a 11 month relationship. Its being about 35 days NC up untill now but for the last week i have being thinking a lot more about her. Yesterday i saw her for the first time since starting NC and my heart skipped a few beats. Up untill a week ago i was generally fine, NC was working and i was doing my own thing and not thinking about her much but for the last week she has being on my mind non stop.. Shouldnt NC be making this easier for me ? Over the last week it feels like one step forward two steps back...
Jackieboy Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 No contact does make in easier in the long term but it is slow process. Seeing an ex does knock you back, I know from first hand experience and seeing them will make you take several steps back. Stay strong and try and mentally tune her out as much as possible. There is someone on Loveshack who signs 'No foolin' (correct spelling). Look him up, he spells out how no contact works and why you must stick with it. Good luck.
eagle5 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 It is a case of 2 steps forward and 1 back. You'll go through good times and then crap times where you can't stop thinking about her but remember that's natural. It would have made it a whole lot harder when you saw her again but keep strong, don't deny yourfelf the chance to grieve when you need to but DON'T contact her, it's the only way you will heal and don't forget to keep as busy as you can. Cheers...
