I'm cool but having the maddest dreams about ex.....

Hey guys,

 

I broke up with ex-ee about 4 5 weeks ago and I am doing well with out of site and out of mind and N/C infact really well I am actually so so much happier and better off without him....

 

The only slight thing is I keep having the maddest dreams of him and other people my friends and in the dreams it really upsets me and I wake up a bit like blue....

 

What could this mean and does anyone else feel like this?? I think its because i am coping good and that I dont think of him much anymore in the day and then it comes out at night

How long were you with him?

 

It depends on how deep your relationship with him was....if it wasnt that long, yeah, maybe youre fine and moving along because plans and dreams and expectations probably werent very rooted.

 

On the other hand, and from what I hear, in LTR (6,7,8.....years) you will come back and have a reality check in a few months when you thought you were fine and think if it was really the right choice you made or not (and it will hurt plenty)....

 

But hey, you made the coice, dont *** up with his head when that happens and treat him like hes on the backburner..... either go back for real or get on with your life cause getting your ego boosts from a fragile and weakened person is just not cool....

i think we've all gone through the dreams madness. i don't want to say that you aren't coping well...especially if you feel that you are, but usually what comes out in our dreams is what we are repressing throughout the day. so perhaps you should let yourself have these thoughts from time to time. write your thoughts down and you'll find it is much easier to channel them into a controllable stream.

 

i used to have a lot of trouble sleeping because all my thoughts would come barrelling by the billions. i needed to concentrate on each thought fully and not allow my mind to jump about. i really found that writing helps with this control because then you can only really process thoughts with the speed with which you can write them down. so this slows you down and calms you.

 

try some yoga or meditation techniques before going to sleep at night.
