Jilly Bean Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Do you think you could have a sugardaddy or sugarmommy and be OK with it? Do you think you would need to have some type of emotional connection with the person to carry out the arrangement, or do you think you would just feel like a whore (manwhore)?
crosswordfiend Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Funny, just read an article on this topic: http://www.thestar.com/living/article/298497 I've got no complaints financially so I'll respond with a big N/A. However, there are people who are employed as companions of elderly or handicapped people and I don't really see this being that different a job - so long as you can detach your emotions.

What a great article! I wonder if those speed-dating events for sugarmommas will go national. It said 5k guys applied for 20 slots. Yeesh.

Some might argue that marriages where one spouse supports the other is exactly that, despite the emotional connection.

Jilly- I have been a sugar mommie....sugar cougar... whatever you want to call it. lol. We liked each other- and there was a connection. But I was 13 years older. He was in university and we hung out and dated- and I fed him and bought him clothes, took him on a trip and he crashed at my loft most of the time. We had a lot of fun. The problem? I grew a bit bored.... and then I moved on. It was fun. Honestly? I wouldn't do it with an older guy.... but then again- I don't have to, I have money, and I can buy and do what I want.... so that's not an issue. I couldn't sleep with someone I wasn't attracted to physically anyway- none of that Anna Nicole Smith stuff for me. Ew.
SeraBella Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I need some type of emotional connection, definitely. At least at this point in my life. And right now I'm not doing so well financially right now, so I guess this is probably how I would always feel.
