ok so I was with a woman for about 4-5 yrs. This woman is 51 yrs old. She is sneaky, is a compulsive liar, disrespectful, has an entitlement issue, cheated on me, self- everything ( selfish, abosorbed, self-centered). She disappears conveniently when she thinks I dont want to get back together with her, always making some excuse. I always make the first contact with her whether it is an email or call. She says it doesnt matter who makes first contact, I say it does matter because a friendship is two sided. Someone that makes first contact alll the time , eventually feels not valued as an equal part.

She is a social worker who has traits of borderline, narcisstic, and histrionic personality disorder.

why do i keep her in my life?

my boyfriend exhibits the same traits, and i've tried to end things probably 10 times.

 

he usually somehow manipulates the conversation and it ends up making me feel like i'm the one at fault for everything and then "forgives" me, until next time.

 

the cycle just keeps repeating. maybe it's the same with her?
