Krytie TV Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 The first post has arrived. Alright people. It's still a month away. Can we hold off on all of the V-day talk for at least another couple weeks? Please?
Trialbyfire Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Oh, stop being a romance grinch. Does V-day matter that much to you? It's pretty meaningless to me, as well as birthdays, anniversaries and pretty much every other day besides Christmas and Thanksgiving. Easter (Good Friday and Easter Monday) used to matter to me but now, are just more meaningless days. They only become meaningful to me, if they matter to my partner, friends or family members.
tanbark813 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 And everyone knows that if it doesn't matter to TBF it shouldn't matter to anyone.
Trialbyfire Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Here's fair warning tan. The next slag you make against me, will be reported to the moderators. You're currently on ignore but I chose to view your post this one time. Anyways Krytie, is v-day that meaningful to you?
dropdeadlegs Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 The first post has arrived. Alright people. It's still a month away. Can we hold off on all of the V-day talk for at least another couple weeks? Please? Some of us get excited about V-Day! I admit it's easier to "stomach" when you have a SO to be excited about. I remember the years when it truly made my stomach turn repeatedly. You know, Krytie, despite your recent events and (dare I say) attempts to be unemotionally involved and enjoy sex for the physical pleasures it derives, I am far from convinced that you aren't a true romantic at heart. I honestly believe you are meant for monogamy, yet haven't found the right mate. I say this only because I have been where you are right now. I tried to separate my emotions and was successful to a large degree, but I wasn't happy. I wish you happiness and a complacency (at least!) in V-Day once again, and very soon.
sally4sara Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Think you dread Valentine's day? Feel it creeps up on you too early? I'm a floral designer; I don't think I need to say anything else.
tanbark813 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I don't dislike V Day but I think we should bring back those cheap Valentine's cards that kids gave each other in school. You get a pack of like 100 for 45 cents and give one to everyone. Adults need to start doing that at work, at the grocery store, bars, etc...
dropdeadlegs Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) Krytie, Don't mean to harp, but the mention of V-day wouldn't bother you if my previous post was off-base. Those who don't care at all just roll their eyes and make no comment. Edited January 19, 2008 by dropdeadlegs

I found some really cool crocodile hunter ones one year.

Those who don't care at all just roll their eyes and make no comment. Oh, no worries DDL. You have me pegged right to a degree. I think after all of the stupid stuff I've been through in the past year, I've finally settled back into my true nature. I'm just sitting back waiting for the right woman to come along. Yes, I am a romantic at heart, but apparently the kind of romantic that isn't appreciated by many. I have been so good in putting the blinders on over the past couple weeks and what happens? I go out tonight and meet a nice girl that I couldn't help but as out. I was supposed to be taking a break... glutton for punishment I guess. I'm a softy for a beautiful intelligent woman... what can I say? Anyway, V-day never really was important to me, but I acknowledge all of the "stuff" it brings on in other people.
tanbark813 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 What's stopping you? I do this. I found some really cool crocodile hunter ones one year. I just might. A search online reveals that Target has The Office themed Valentine's cards.
blind_otter Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 V-day is a vagina day. A day to celebrate the mysterious and mighty female nether regions. Hooray for V-day!
