carrot10 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I've been in a relationship with a guy for 5 months. It is exclusive. while we were talking about a problem in another couples relationship, he says "well, what if we were married, how would you deal with it?" refering to the conversation. He has said the "what if we were married" thing a couple times now. Should I take it like he's just making an example or do you think he's really thinking about us getting married? I'm probably overthinking this, but it kinda caught me off guard and got me thinking. We've never discussed marriage or moving in together or anything like that. thanks in advance!
tanbark813 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 It sounds like he's trying to decide if he could see you as his wife. Like a screening process.
Saxis Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 He's probably thinking about it. Otherwise, what use would it do him to stay in an exclusive long term relationship at all? Unless he's made it clear that he's absolutely opposed to marriage in general, I'd say he's definitely thinking about it.
Jilly Bean Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Hes trying to decifer how you would behave in a serious, LTR, ie. marriage. These are test questions, hon.
Garbo Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 My bf will say "That's good practice" when I do something motherly with his kids. I'm like...what does that mean? I guess I'm being screened too.
EYECANDY000 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 it sounds like is does see a long future with you two amd he just wants to know where your mind level is at when it comes to certain situations.
