I wasn't sure of my exact size, but I knew I was somewhere between a 4 and a 5. I have a 4.75 now, but it seems pretty loose. While it's not exactly falling off, excessive use of my left hand seems to make the diamonds turn all the way around so they are facing out toward my palm (does that make sense?), and I can slip it off with very little resistance, as well. I can feel it moving all the time, which is a little distracting. Does this sound right? As long as a ring isn't falling off, should it be okay?

I'd go with a 'comfortability' factor -- personally, I don't like it when my ring (or watch) becomes a distraction.

What you can do, is ask a jeweler how much to size it -- they'll measure and let you know if it ought to be sized, and they'll tell you the number. Then, if you don't want to spend the money right now, say thanks and leave. At least you'll know the size for next time. :)

I always thought that it was sized right when it barely fit over your knuckles... or it fit over with a good push.

I know your finger size changes depending on the temperature, weather, time of year and time of month.

My wedding band is looser right now and slips over my knuckles easier than it did when it was 90 degrees out.

Just go to the jewelry store and have your fit looked at and if it needs to be refit then have them change the size.

The knuckle is key. I have slender fingers, and my ring always used to turn around like that, too, which was a little annoying. But I couldn't make it smaller because it had to fit over the knuckle.

It was better in warmer, more humid weather - my fingers swelled a bit, I guess. :)

That's exactly how it is with me--when it's warm, it fits immaculately, but when it's cold (like it is most of the time now), it seems way too small!
