Trialbyfire Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Being direct is the best! Next time I meet a guy I like, I'll have to take a page from under's book of mad dating skillz and tell him I want his body.
Phateless Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hi xyz love interest, My phone number is xxx yyy zzzz. Call me, you retard! All the best, unders with her big girl thong on I would LOVE IT if a girl said that to me. I would give her props for being confident, secure, direct, knowing what she wants and going for it. That would score her about 50 points in my book.

I'll bet, but only if you're already attracted to her. Something tells me you might not feel that way if you're not attracted.
Phateless Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I'll bet, but only if you're already attracted to her. Something tells me you might not feel that way if you're not attracted. Agreed, but I would still admire her boldness.

Phateless Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 there is no set limit on points... they can be earned or lost solely at my discretion which has no relevance to anything in particular.
Author underpants Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 there is no set limit on points... they can be earned or lost solely at my discretion which has no relevance to anything in particular. So would I lose massive points if I suggested Atonement or 27 dresses for a movie?
JosieMcCoy Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 So would I lose massive points if I suggested Atonement or 27 dresses for a movie? See that NYC horror movie!!! come on! Thats a great date movie!!! I forgot what it is but i think it starts with a C!
Author underpants Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 I have heard good things about that Country for Good Men. Or something like that. Although, it is about psycho killers.
Phateless Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 So would I lose massive points if I suggested Atonement or 27 dresses for a movie? lol i don't know about either of those movies, so I can't offer any perspective. If I like the girl, I would have no problem seeing a chick-flick.
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 He seems to have a trait known as empathy. We shall see.
Ariadne Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 He seems to have a trait known as empathy. We shall see. Hey, So, what's going on? Did you talk to the guy? Did you go on a date? You know the scarcity, can't be too picky...
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Hey, So, what's going on? Did you talk to the guy? Did you go on a date? You know the scarcity, can't be too picky... Yes, a proper date (it has been long years) and he was a really nice gentleman. *looks up and gauges where the other shoe may fall from*
Trialbyfire Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Empathy is good but a guy with only this one trait might be a bit emo. Any other traits?
Ariadne Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Yes, a proper date (it has been long years) and he was a really nice gentleman. *looks up and gauges where the other shoe may fall from* With this guy? "A handsome man likes me and when he talks to me I well up on the inside." What are you talking about other shoe? Like cinderella? Any sparks?
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Empathy is good but a guy with only this one trait might be a bit emo. Any other traits? Too soon to tell. Empathy....yes. Fidelity...yes. Compassion...yes. A sick and silly humor that he is too shy to let on to....maybe. Worthy of a second date...yes. Worthy of me...probably not.
Trialbyfire Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Too soon to tell. Empathy....yes. Fidelity...yes. Compassion...yes. A sick and silly humor that he is too shy to let on to....maybe. Worthy of a second date...yes. Worthy of me...probably not. He still sounds emo, beyond the Fidelity trait (a very good one btw.). You go unders. Don't be settling if he lacks what you need. Six pack and pecs?
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 He still sounds emo, beyond the Fidelity trait (a very good one btw.). You go unders. Don't be settling if he lacks what you need. Six pack and pecs? I would not classify him as emo. The fidelity thing was actually easy to find out. People with nothing to hide, don't hide it. The process of discerning this has taken years to figure out (for me) and is probably another thread. Actually, I feel like the emo in this situation. Tall, pecked and ab'ed. Bonus, he has all his hair. What the heck does he see in me? Oh heavens...don't drop another shoe on this old lady!
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Oh, I did about 10-101 self sabatoge things. I can't help myself.
BeautifulMusic Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 You did all that in the course of a little over an hour? It's probably not as bad as you think.
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 You did all that in the course of a little over an hour? It's probably not as bad as you think. No, I was just reflecting on my nerdom. You know...slams scarf in car door, tp on shoe... things like this. Silly Universe.
JosieMcCoy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Could it be possible you are obsessing of him a little bit?
johan Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Could it be possible you are obsessing of him a little bit? Mind you, to the benefit of us all. You go ahead and obsess, underpants.
BeautifulMusic Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I guess I'm lucky that when I get shy over the guy I'm dating, I just get quiet... although, sometimes I get TOO quiet, at the wrong moments, and that's not the best either! If he likes you, I'm sure he finds those things endearing, although I know it seems embarrassing to you.
Author underpants Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Could it be possible you are obsessing of him a little bit? Of course I am. I just had a really cool date for the first time ...in a long time. If it comes to nothing, so be it. It was still a nice time. I suppose I could obsess about my hairdryer (which I did on another thread). However, even you have to admit it is more fun to obsess about a potential penis. btw...self sabatogoe no ...whose counting? I got a text. I don't even know about that silly stuff. I called back directly and just said. Yes, it was nice but I don't do that texting stuff. I hope to hear from you again. He said, oh you will. We shall see.
