What type of restuarants would you suggest would be a nice place to go to for dinner with a girl you like for Valentine's.

I'm in Canada, Ontario.

How about?

-The Keg?

Would it be nice for something fancy?

Red Lobster or the Olive Garden. :lmao:

Yes the Keg is not bad.. but not a fancy restaurant...

If you want fancy, look for 'French cuisine' or a restaurant that is score 5 diamonds... then you'll get 'fancy'... but be ready to pay the price.. but hey.. if she's worth it.. ;)

It really depends on the girl. I personally prefer some out of the way mom and pop kinda place. The Keg is very status quo, but if the girl is into that, go for it.

Is it just a girl you like, or have you gone out with her before? Nothing impresses a girl more than having a guy cook for her, but if she hasn't been to your place before, it's gonna through up the "I want to get you into bed" vibe, so I'd stray from that. Otherwise, there's always the cheezy route with the heart shaped pizzas from BP's.

How old are you, how old is she. Have you gone out with this girl before, whats your relationship, have you kissed?

It really depends on the girl. Some girls don't want to go out at all and would prefer you just cook dinner for her and have candles.

So to second an earlier post: how long have you been dating? How old is she? What is her lifestyle like (always going out to eat)?

If you're close to Toronto, try restaurants in the Yorkville District. There's some wonderful cuisine to be had. :)

I agree with those who suggest to tailor it to something that suits her AND suits your budget. Don't get all fancy-dancy just cos it's Valentine's, if that experience doesn't accurately reflect anything at all about you (or her).

There's something about being at Swiss Chalet or Mandarin or some local favourite pub, and being presented with a bunch of carnations or baby roses -- chances are she won't remember where the heck you guys ate ;).

Leave 'em in the trunk and, if it's really cold out, excuse yourself from the table early on and ask the hostess to keep the flowers indoors someplace until you come and get them.

Best of all - I really love that you're thinking about this so far in advance -- after the evening goes really well, let her know that you were so anxious about having a special evening that you've been thinking about it for a month, and you really hope that she had a good time. (We girls are HUGE SUCKERS for guys who put so much thought into pleasing us -- often we never get to hear about it so we can't appreciate and love you guys for your genuine, heartfelt work.)

I'm seventeen, and same with her. We hang out alot and talk to each other hours a day. And yes we dined out with her girl friends in Toronto before and I'm sure she can tell which restuarants are good or bad because someone else (another girl with another guy) said they were eating at the mandarin and the girl I like said it was an "okay" restuarant, not too fancy nor cheap. But I think the Keg would suit us. What do you think?

It sounds perfect...because that is really what your gut is saying! Trust your gut, and have a great Valentine's

I also agree that tailoring it to the person is a great idea. Making dinner for someone can be very romantic. I love making dinner for my BF.

One kind of place to consider is a small, independent restaurant - like a cozy little mom-and-pop italian place. Those places often aren't expensive, but they have atmosphere and intimacy, which is always good for a romantic date. Also good food.

I don't know the Keg - sounds like a local place? - but just from the name it sounds like it might be kind of noisy and loud. The food might suit you guys but atmosphere matters too...but of course, you know you and your date best! Trust your gut.

It actually is a super choice for RA's age-range and needs for the evening - despite the name, the atmosphere is calm and gentle :). (It's a franchise, food and service is consistent, good value for money -- it'll be great.)
