makemyblackrosesred Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I know dating is seeing someone romantically usually, but whats it called when you've been "dating" for years but aren't in a relationship with that person. For example, if someone says "oh shes is dating someone" but they never move in together or get married or even commit..they just "date". Go out and have fun. Or how about seeing someone..just not commiting to them long term? Like not wanting to be in a relationship with anyone, just that person..but you're not serious with that person. Anyone hear of this?(oh and this doesnt have to do with the guy in my posts)
Green Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Don't worry so much about giving things titles. If two people just hang out and have sex but arn't seriouse about eachother and don't romanticaly care about eachother, the generaly accepted term is friends with benefits. FWB
bluepoppy Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I think it happens all the time - people 'date' cos they don't want to be alone but hope something better will come along. It doesn't mean they don't care - but they know that it's not 'the one' as it were.
Lee725 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 sounds like FWB... If you arnt sleeping together then just "friends"
Lucky555 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 yes has happened to me and then it hurts like hell when you want it to go somewhere.
