pandagirl Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't this basically code for: "I like you"?
Lee725 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 No not nessecarily, what was the dream about? If they went on to say "well you and i, we were uummmm.... well you know" then yes they might like you. If they said "it was awful....", i think they might just be telling you about it.
Author pandagirl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 he told me he had a dream about me moving away that that he was sad.
JamesM Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 If it is, then my wife has grounds to divorce me! The dreams I have had over the years have ranged from a hello with former girlfriends and current friends to a full blown affair (to say it politely). I have woken up in the morning and felt sad or happy depending on who it was. I have only told maybe one or two that they were in my dreams...no matter what the situation. Dreams are just that...dreams. He could have told you because you do mean something to him as a friend. It is possible that he said it because he actually likes you. And it could simply be a way of telling you that he likes...even though he really never had that dream. My point is....don't raise or lower your hopes based on that statement of that dream. Time will tell what his meaning really was.
Meaplus3 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't this basically code for: "I like you"? Well, when I'm dreaming about someone it's because I like them. I generally don't find myself dreaming about people I don't like. Just my IMOP! AP:)
Cobra_X30 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't this basically code for: "I like you"? Does this dream occur while awake or alseep? I think that makes a difference!
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I used it often enough for that purpose. It worked, too!
compassion42 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I think it could mean that the person likes you or has been thinking about you-that's why you showed up in his dreams.
EYECANDY000 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I think that it just means that they dreamt about you!
BlueEyedSarah Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't this basically code for: "I like you"? Dreams are whats on the back of your mind before you sleep. I don't beleive it has anything to do with liking that person you dream about.
Monty P Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 (edited) Not trying to hijack the thread here..but I have wondered about this myself. But more along the lines of whether to tell someone you have had dreams about them or not, and wondering what their response would be. If it would be a good thing to tell, or a bad thing to tell. I have had quite a few over the years (mostly about the same person) and have always wondered if it actually means anything or not. Edited January 12, 2008 by Monty P
Author pandagirl Posted January 12, 2008 Author Posted January 12, 2008 I have personally told someone I dreamed about them, when I really didn't just as an excuse to talk to them! haha. In this particular case I was alluding to in my OP, a guy friend who've I'd had an ambiguously platonic relationship with told me he dreamed about me. It was just unusually, because he recently moved away and we don't talk very much anymore, but out of the blue, he texted me this message.
