Storyrider Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I've always wanted a vanilla personality. The sort of person who gets on with everybody, because they add their own toppings. Sounds delicious. Dark chocolate, please.
Saxis Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 It's kind of bewildering. You might want to turn on your GPS to regain ground.
shadowplay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 There's a model named Irina Lazareanu who kind of fits into the plain but sexy category. Bear in mind she's quite attractive for a regular person, but not especially as models go. Yet she's extremely popular in the industry because she has the je ne sais quoi factor. She's a muse to a lot of top designers.
KenzieAbsolutely Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 You might want to turn on your GPS to regain ground. ya know, it doesn't just mean "getting physically lost." 'losing one's composure' is also a way of 'losing your bearings', or being bewildered; this is also commonly known as 'freaking out'. i've grown tired of explaining the mystery that is bewilderment, but for the sake of being clear, words often have more than one simple meaning, explanation, or implication. it helps to remember this fact when attempting to be snide for no good reason. 'tis all!

shadowplay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The one on the lower right, yes? Yeah, now she is bewildering... Uh, that's not a SHE. It's Kate Moss's ex Pete Doherty.
Trimmer Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Uh, that's not a SHE. It's Kate Moss's ex Pete Doherty. Do I really need to put winkies on jokes? I like to think I'm clever enough with language alone, but maybe not...
Storyrider Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Do I really need to put winkies on jokes? I like to think I'm clever enough with language alone, but maybe not... I got that you were joking, Trimmer. I found that guy rather startling myself, even in the guy category. Is he playing a homeless junkie in that shot? Does anyone remember the film "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown?" The female lead had this humongous nose. My guy friend was obsessed with her. I think it was the quirkiness factor.
KenzieAbsolutely Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The one on the lower right, yes? Yeah, now she is bewildering... agreed. so, so agreed.
shadowplay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Do I really need to put winkies on jokes? I like to think I'm clever enough with language alone, but maybe not... I still have trouble with internet sarcasm.

Indeed. When you don't know what a word means it can take on any number of meanings.
burning 4 revenge Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The one on the lower right, yes? Yeah, now she is bewildering... Isn't that that drunken English pop star who smokes crack and dates Kate Moss?
Nemo Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't that that drunken English pop star who smokes crack and dates Kate Moss? I just had a brain explosion.
shadowplay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Isn't that that drunken English pop star who smokes crack and dates Kate Moss? In a nutshell.
tanbark813 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I just had a brain explosion. I am plained by your bewilderyness.
KenzieAbsolutely Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Indeed. When you don't know what a word means it can take on any number of meanings. i know what the word means, tanbark. i've proven myself several times. please stop trying to say nicely that i'm stupid. i've been nice. now you try.
shadowplay Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 On that topic do you guys think Kate Moss would qualify as plain but sexy? I always thought she was exceptionally beautiful (though past her prime), but I've heard some people call her plain.

I always thought she was exceptionally beautiful (though past her prime), but I've heard some people call her plain. i wouldn't describe her as plain because i think she has something about that her that is striking and appealing in an unconventional way (which is usually the way most runway models are, you might notice). i definitely don't think she's boring-looking. this isn't to say i think she is the very definition of gorgeous, but i think calling her 'plain' would be pretty stingy.

The distance between her eyes is the main thing that makes her so striking, imo. I remember once I read about a study that "tested" conceptions of female beauty across all different cultures and found one of the only common traits considered beautiful was far-apart eyes. I think it's because wideset eyes are a childlike, more typically feminine feature.
