brokenthinker Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Just curious as to how long the 'honeymoon' lasts. Brief recap for those unfamiliar, my wife (23) moved in with a guy she met over a video game (21)... fell "in love" within a couple days moved in with him within a month. Havent heard from her in 3 months but all indications from what I hear from old friends and the garbage she puts on her journal is she is extremely happy... just wondering how long the honeymoon really lasts and when reality sets in... or could this be reality now?
Curmudgeon Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 It varies. It depends on the couple. In my experience it can last anywhere from six weeks to six years. However, it's not necessarily an accurate measure of the potential permanance of the relationship. In your case she's gone. She's living with another. That should be more than enough to burst your honeymoon bubble and trigger a divorce filing. It doesn't matter how long her new one lasts. It doesn't include you.
Jordane Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 She should be you EX-wife. The "honeymoon" stage for my boyfriend and I ended after six months. We have since then had little "spurts" of just great times but I think it comes and goes...along with the passion.
