Say they want to be friends and to keep in touch with them after a break up when they don't do neither??? Why is that????

After my break up with my ex he said what can be friends and to keep in touch, but I have been doing that but he doesn't say anything back to me..why is that???

...it's a cowardly, comfortable and easy way out because many men are conflict- and confrontation-adverse.

This is a, "Why do some men..." rather than just "Why do men..." question.

Good question. My ex all but threatened me with friendship after she left me, now I don't see or really hear from her at all. So that door swings both ways.

It's the nice way of saying "I doubt I will talk to you much after this, but I can't handle hearing you cry about it, so I will tell you this to pacify you long enough to get me through this uncomfortable discussion"... Bottom line...he is not interested in keeping in touch. So neither should you be.
