I once lived with two guys for nearly two semester, which was ok more or less (I felt a bit ignored too much). How about living with just one though? If he was the one with the flat and did the picking and choosing, did you ever encounter any problems later on? Like him wanting to get romantically involved?

I've lived with male room mates before, and to be perfectly honest, I moved out of one of the better places I rented from because of that very thing. He came onto me, wanted something other than "roomies" from me, and so I moved out. I'm not saying all guys are like that, just gotta be careful. From there on out I only had female room mates.

I've had a few male roommates in my past. The best one was gay...he was awesome. SO clean and organized, never late with money, always up for hanging out, willing to listen to me complain about my period. He was great.

Another one I had was too insecure to come on to me, I think, but he definately tried to send out signals, which I pointedly ignored. We remained friends throughout, but often had long talks into the night where he would try to sit closer to me and make innuendos which I would just ignore or not notice, because I tend to be a bit obtuse when it comes to men making passes at me.

The third one I had, we ended up hooking up...it was ugly and not worth it. At this point in my life I would only live with:

1. women

2. a gay male friend

Not sure why I posted, I mean I think I know the answer... I think I don't like reality. :D

I had a male roommate before, and one female roommate. It was great! Him and I had been friends for a while before, and I had been friends even longer with his girlfriend (so obviously, nothing romantic going on). He was clean, paid his rent on time, was easygoing, etc. It was nice to have a spontaneous hang-out buddy. We'd watch movies, play video games, or just chat.

I'm a nerdy girl, so I always got along better with guys than girls anyways.
